“I got a blended white chocolate with two shots of espresso. The taste was spot on, but it has a couple ice chunks. There is another coffee hut that blends their drinks and they almost seem like a frozen mousse. Anyway, I'm not sure if it's the blender or the amount of time blending the ice. The barista was super friendly helping suggest a fruity drink for my friend that has several weird fruit and berry allergies.“

“Grinders Gourmet Coffee is hands-down one of the best drive-through coffee spots in the Fairbanks/North Pole area. The drinks are consistently excellent, the food is fresh, and the team is always upbeat and welcoming. What really stands out is the attention to detail, orders come out accurate, well made, and fast, even when they’re busy. You can tell there’s strong leadership and high standards behind the scenes. If you want quality coffee, great breakfast/lunch options, and friendly service you can count on, Grinders delivers every time. Highly recommend.“

“Updated menu as of November 2023.Ordered the loaded burrito. It was loaded indeed with too much cheese. The horchata coffee special was good, but the flavor definitely overpowered the taste of coffee or not sure if there was even coffee in it. I just assumed since it said "coffee special".“

“UPDATE: I cannot locate my original review, it wasn't good, 2 stars. Ugly sandwich pic that I have now deleted. These folks asked me to reach out. I did. We all agreed, bad sandwich. They gave me a gift card refund with a little plus. I returned to the hut of the original review (Sadlers parking lot) I placed the same order. The food was lovely this time. See pic for evidence. “This coffee hut is phenomenal. We had a car full of hangry adults, some w very particular food cravings. We took too long to order, had lots of questions, and were a bit cranky, yet the people working this coffee shop were warm, friendly, so patient, and happy to help! Our food pleasantly surprised us in portion size, temperature, price, and taste! The coffee was not too sweet. It was the perfect temperature and taste. I was so pleased with Backwoods Coffee that I asked if they had a website and any stickers, shirts, or hats w their logo. They were out at the moment. We are not from Alaska, so I have only had the pleasure of being a patron of Backwoods Coffee once, but we are going back in February, and I cannot wait to have more coffee and another delicious breakfast burrito/wrap!! “First meal of my travels after an unpleasant experience at the Fairbanks airport. Was there at 730am, and the lady was so friendly and helpful. Coffee was great and cinnamon bun was to die for. Appreciate the chirpy spirit in the cold cold winter“

“My wife and I were surprised to find possibly the best breakfast burrito in this little drive-thru spot in Fairbanks, Alaska. We stumbled on it because it was close to where we stayed and gave it a shot. The breakfast burritos stacked with eggs, cheese, and meat, were hot and delicious. The staff was attentive and friendly. Recommended for a quick and good breakfast.“

“Not just for coffee. Great place to stop for a bite to eat. Hot soup, large selection of pizza. Cold sandwiches and plenty options for your sweet tooth.“

“Great people, great service, great tasting food and best of all if anything is wrong they will bend over backwards to fix it and make sure your experience is the best.

Vegetarian options: Egg white roasted red pepper egg bites, kale and mushroom egg bites, spinach feta and egg white wrap, and all the pastries they offer.

Kid-friendliness: The baristas are great with kids. The baristas go out of their way to help kids place their orders and will even make the kids feel special by calling out their names when their items are ready.
