This is the best place in Fairbanks to meet new people, make friends, and find some of the greatest, most chill people that won't judge you or discriminate against you just for who you are. Plenty of memories at the Marlin, and it's been through some rough times, but personally I'm really excited to see what this new owner, Tony does with the this treasured watering hole that I love. I had the pleasure of a short conversation with this wonderful human being and you can tell he has plenty of hospitality experience and is invested.You always drink like a fish at the Marlin. It’s open again!!! I performed here on Friday, it was open until 3am that night, live music started at 10pm. The quintessential Alaskan Dive Bar with heaps and heaps of Community History. This place is bursting with vibes and live music. No food served, but I bet food trucks are stalking this place and you probably can get food delivered. Yay! The Marlin is back in business! Its owned by the same folks that own the Big I.
