We visited back on July and it was great!! I am actually not a fish person, but I ordered fish and chips anyways and it was delicious. My husband ordered the tour of alaska and is hooked. Can't wait until we visit again!!!
I intended to dine at one of the top Trip Advisor rated restaurants on the Homer Spit but they closed for the season the day earlier. The Harbor Grill Steak and Seafood appeared to be the only one open. Lucky for me. I ate in the bar and the bartender was also the server, and recommended for me. He made a special drink that was wonderful and then recommended the Halibut cheeks rolled in coconut. I'd never heard of it before and it was wonderful. we went for Sunday brunch, we loved everything we tried. the eggs Benedict were perfectly cooked, waffles very light and fluffy. we will have to ho back again since we didn't sample all the different stuff.
