“Loved the wings, definitely five stars. Pizza was delicious, but toppings were a bit skimpy. Had to wait on order, staff vey nice and parking was no problem. Wish it was closer!”
“Their ribs are always on point. They have these little cheese things for an appetizer that everyone at my table fought over. The people are nice, and always have great service. Love their art in there as well - only thing I have had that I didn't like was their "baked beans" taste like pork n beans to me. Maybe they will change that recipe.”
“In the area doing some estate sale shopping! Popped in for lunch, and were so glad we did! Awesome food and service! I didn't catch our servers name, but she was very attentive & friendly. Will definitely stop again when in the area. I built my own platter. I had a beef/cheese chile rellano, a chicken tamale, and a beef burrito. It came with rice & beans. I had them put cheese sauce on top. Loved their chips and salsa too!!”
“Been in Alexandria all my life and let me just say I’ve never had food this good. I got the catfish plate with fried green tomatoes, okra, deviled eggs, and extra hushpuppies. Everything was fried to perfection and so fresh! The atmosphere is so welcoming & we will definitely be back again since it’s right down the street from our house lol!! 1000/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”
“Our waitress Connie was extremely good. Such personal service. Kept checking on us and making sure we had what we needed. If you go ask for Connie!!!Parking: Easy parkingKid-friendliness: Kids menu’s”
“We always order the same. Italian herbs and cheese bread --3 ft long; Cold cut trio with the works always turns out good. don't let them make your sandwich .the way that they want to ::you tell them how your sandwich is to be made..they will take the time to make the best sandwich ,you can get ..always nice, always polite and always fast. We eat there 3 times a month.. great place . For the price. Always clean.”
“I have been ordering the chx tenders for years and I can't help but notice the size of the tenders is shrinking?if that weren't bad enough I'm also noticing more breading than meat on a few tenders each time I order.Sadly this is happening throughout the entire food industry .. I understand the reason for all the shrinkage and smaller portions but it doesn't make it any better for all us consumers struggling to pay more for less!#stopinflation”
“A waffle house like ours comes along once in a lifetime. You can trust them to be consistent. Service is always prompt and friendly. And the food is great American diner food. They don’t get five stars because they’re just not a 5 Star Place! Folks this is not fine dining. It is hardy and filling and it’s on every corner. The best corner we found is US 431 @ Hwy 144 in Alexandria.”
“Breakfast was 6 bucks and some change, they do offer military discount so mine would of been less but compare this to what McDonald's is charging and its almost half price for more food at Jack's. Jacks is the better deal for sure if you are on a high protein low carb or keto diet as far as breakfast goes.”
“Picked up a couple of boba teas. Delicious. Chocolate egg waffle with m&m's was good. The coconut one didn't taste very coconut, though. Still was tasty. Wish it was closer to Oxford.”
“Amazing place they have there. I have to say as a diabetic going to the ice cream parlor with my kids usually isn't the most fun. This place has the best no sugar added flavors I have ever tried! They have a solid selection of flavors and menu for food items. The amazing staff has always given great service with the great family atmosphere setting.Parking: Couple shop specific parking spots right by the door.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid minded flavorsWheelchair accessibility: Little tight inside”
“This place has great tasting food and a variety to choose from. It's a BBQ place, and I was hungry for Brunswick stew. This was the only place I could find it, and it was delicious! This place stays crowded, but when we got there, luckily, we got the last seat available. It was upstairs, but we took it. The steps are steep and narrow, but we made it. I can't wait to go back! Good food, friendly waiter.”
“I decided to stop by today after hearing about this coffee shop from a local resident. The environment is not only cozy, but very calming. Definitely stopping by again if I’m ever in The Jacksonville Area again. Erin was my barista today and she was super friendly & sweet!!”
“Quick line, and the people taking orders are always super nice. They've been patient as I asked questions and provided actually helpful recommendations. 10/10. And the prices are so much better than competitors.”
“Wow! This place was excellent! Hands down best Mexican restaurant in this area. Staff was so very friendly and efficient, everything we had was outstanding. We will be back!”
“Best coffee I’ve had since Hawaii. Great staff, easy going atmosphere, great prices, and awesome coffee. We stopped by every day before our classes at the CDP.”
“A great place to fulfill a sweet craving. Cake pops , Multiple gourmet flavored cupcakes and even some gluten free options.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options .Parking: 30 shared spots.”
“We had the voodoo pasta and a blackberry pork chop special. Both were out of this world delicious. Nice atmosphere and we had a great time. Service was great considering there were prom night large groups in there.”
“Everything from the seating to the food and atmosphere was fantastic! Going to be even greater when the climate is better for outside seating. Will be going back !”
“Excellent food, ordered the Baja California fajitas, plenty of food for the money couldn't eat it all and had to take it home. My server was great I would eat here again.”
“It was mine and my husband’s first time after we have been following Heirloom Taco on Insta. We drove all the way from Gadsden and it was soooooo worth the drive! We each had a taco plate with different tacos. I had the fried chicken, carne asada and the birria tacos with pinto beans and Mexican rice. It was awesome. I also ordered the tastiest spicy mango margarita and my husband ordered the oatchata and that was delicious as well. The staff was also very kind and accommodating. We loved the decor and the location! All around, very great spot! We will be making the drive back!”
“First chicken gizzards are hard to find but good gizzards are even harder to find. This place has some of the most tender gizzards I have ever had. Their fried green tomatoes were perfect Southern made. Can't beat the price to quantity food ratio. Great place to eat.”
“Wow, this is a hidden local gem! In town for a conference and wanted some wings, MVPs had the highest rating around and I learned why. I seen the pics of lemon pepper wings and okra, I asked the lady serving me if they were the best. She suggested their most popular wing (I believe she said Da Most, I don't always hear well) and I took them paired with okra. Man, everything was crisp, I don't know what went on the fried okra but it is to die for! And the wings were amazing, the flavor profile was unique and delicious! Definitely worth the stop!”
“Love this place! I have eaten here since I was a kid and now enjoy it with my own family! My dad and I recently went to New York and tried pizza and let me tell you… I would’ve much rather had pizza from the Pizzeria & Pasta Shack! So delicious!”
“We were promptly shown to our seat and the chips and salsa were there by the time the waitress came to take our drink order. She was very helpful, nice and the food was amazing. There was a good portion of it plus it was tasty. We will definitely be coming back again soon!”
“Wonderful find as I was making my way from Birmingham to Atlanta. Anniston is a sweet small town just North of I-20. True Southern hospitality at work here. Wonderful historic building downtown. I had one of the many daily specials, chicken, greens, Mac&cheese, black eyed peas and cornbread. All prepared with love, like Grandma was in the kitchen.”
“Went on a Saturday night and had sushi with my family. The godzilla roll was absolutely delicious (if you like deep fried food, you're in the south of course you do!) Only comes with 6 pieces though instead of the 8-9 like others, BUT the pieces are giant. Our server was super attentive and sweet as well.Vegetarian options: You can sub out meat/Poultry for tofuParking: Big open lot with separated spots”
“Very reasonably priced. And when you become a familiar face, they are super friendly.I didn't go with 5 stars for really one major reason. They only take cash. And that's all good and all, but I've got to go somewhere else every time and get cash to buy the ice cream. And the Dollar General and gas station nearby don't do cash back. So I've got to plan ahead for what is often a sort of impulse desire. So for that one reason, 4/5.The ice cream is great. Get their version of your favorite flavor first. Then branch out to the other ones, because then you can appreciate the quality. I was qenuinly surprised at the diversity of flavors they keep fairly well stocked.”
“We'd give it 10 stars if we could. This is our must stop every time we're anywhere nearby. We've been several times since they've opened and tried almost everything, we've yet to find anything we didn't absolutely love. The Cruffins are so delicious, the seasonal Peach Scones are beyond delightful, and the Cherry Danish is an absolute must!”
“These people could treat me like dirt and I'd still buy their doughnuts. They remind me of fresh krispy crème but way better and a lot more variety. Highly recommend the chocolate filled. Yum.”
