“We live 1 mile away so very handy.Food is great and consistent.Service is another deal.I ordered 2 chicken finger specials and the fries were left off one.The manager was so focused in on my sauce that she left the fries off.I called and reported it but didn't go back to get the fries.This issue happens on a regular basis.Get this issue fixed and could get a 5 star in the future.I do reviews on a regular basis.”

“First chicken gizzards are hard to find but good gizzards are even harder to find. This place has some of the most tender gizzards I have ever had. Their fried green tomatoes were perfect Southern made. Can't beat the price to quantity food ratio. Great place to eat.”

“Very reasonably priced. And when you become a familiar face, they are super friendly.I didn't go with 5 stars for really one major reason. They only take cash. And that's all good and all, but I've got to go somewhere else every time and get cash to buy the ice cream. And the Dollar General and gas station nearby don't do cash back. So I've got to plan ahead for what is often a sort of impulse desire. So for that one reason, 4/5.The ice cream is great. Get their version of your favorite flavor first. Then branch out to the other ones, because then you can appreciate the quality. I was qenuinly surprised at the diversity of flavors they keep fairly well stocked.”

Huge portions and a great southern selection of item that remind you of grandma's breakfast on Saturday mornings. Great price too!! I can't wait to try the dinner items.”

“Visited with my brother and sister-in-law in Gadsden last week and we spent a mid-day driving in the area, enjoying fall colors - we stopped at Local Joe's for lunch. I had the 'fully-loaded-nachos' w/BBQ sauce and other toppings - it was AMAZING. The service was prompt, loved the 'setting', the store, the dining area, everything about it. The cost was very reasonable for what we had. We have good places in upstate NY but we don't have this. Very much looking forward to coming back again. Thanks for a great memorable lunch.”

“In the area doing some estate sale shopping! Popped in for lunch, and were so glad we did! Awesome food and service! I didn't catch our servers name, but she was very attentive & friendly. Will definitely stop again when in the area. I built my own platter. I had a beef/cheese chile rellano, a chicken tamale, and a beef burrito. It came with rice & beans. I had them put cheese sauce on top. Loved their chips and salsa too!!”

“The wings fall off the bone, the BBQ Muffalota will melt in your mouth, and the Italian Muffalota is the only sandwich that I will eat that has mayonnaise on it all the way with the olive mix, and don't forget the dill Pickle spears. “Been in Alexandria all my life and let me just say I’ve never had food this good. I got the catfish plate with fried green tomatoes, okra, deviled eggs, and extra hushpuppies. Everything was fried to perfection and so fresh! The atmosphere is so welcoming & we will definitely be back again since it’s right down the street from our house lol!! 1000/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!”

“I visited Mcdonalds in Southside Al with my family for dinner. We had a rather large order so was pulled up. We never mind this as we know it can be an inconvenience to the staff. The young man who brought our food out was very sweet, greeted us, and brought back things we needed. I didn't catch his name but he deserves a raise (Tall, red hair, big grin from ear to ear)”

“I have been ordering the chx tenders for years and I can't help but notice the size of the tenders is shrinking?if that weren't bad enough I'm also noticing more breading than meat on a few tenders each time I order.Sadly this is happening throughout the entire food industry .. I understand the reason for all the shrinkage and smaller portions but it doesn't make it any better for all us consumers struggling to pay more for less!#stopinflation”

Italian herbs and cheese bread --3 ft long; Cold cut trio with the works always turns out good. don't let them make your sandwich .the way that they want to ::you tell them how your sandwich is to be made..they will take the time to make the best sandwich ,you can get ..always nice, always polite and always fast. We eat there 3 times a month.. great place . For the price. Always clean.”

“A waffle house like ours comes along once in a lifetime. You can trust them to be consistent. Service is always prompt and friendly. And the food is great American diner food. They don’t get five stars because they’re just not a 5 Star Place! Folks this is not fine dining. It is hardy and filling and it’s on every corner. The best corner we found is US 431 @ Hwy 144 in Alexandria.”

“Breakfast was 6 bucks and some change, they do offer military discount so mine would of been less but compare this to what McDonald's is charging and its almost half price for more food at Jack's. Jacks is the better deal for sure if you are on a high protein low carb or keto diet as far as breakfast goes.”

“We were driving by Jack's on Highway 77 in Southside and decided to stop in for lunch and we're glad we did!Their fried chicken was excellent and their slaw was some of the best we've eaten recently.Our cashier was friendly and service was prompt.The dining area was not exceptionally clean but it was toward the end of lunchtime so that's understandable.We will be back the next time we're in the area.”
