Our favorite Mexican place in Birmingham, even though it's more of a Tex-mex place. Be sure to ask for some roasted salsa, it's delicious! The wait staff is always nice and attentive, over the years they have become friends. They interact with my toddler and make sure he's always taken care of as well. My husband loves the Mexican omelet (don't knock it until you've tried it) and I always get the Don Pepe quesadilla. The cheese dip inside the quesadilla is magical. Was seated immediately around 2pm. Food was ok. Shreaded chicken was dry on nachos. Salsa was really good. Margaritas tasted good but don't think there was any tequila in them. Servers friendly. Prices were reasonable. Would eat here again when in the area.

The taco was soggy. The salsa was very spicy. The service was slim to none. I will not go back to this restaurant. I could have went to a nice restaurant for what I paid for us to eat at this one. We had a party of three and none of us was happy with our food.
