“Saturday night we dined (after a rather lengthy wait). We understood, it was Saturday night after all, but early in the evening. We were a party of 6 celebrating my 92nd birthday. We ordered and received our salads in a timely manner. The first 3 orders were served and then a terrific crash. Turned out it my 2 daughters and my dinners. The manager came made his apologies and indicated there would be an adjustment to compensate for our wait, by the time our food arrived the rest of our party had nearly finished their meal. We spent a lot of money and I feel some sort of compensation should have been offered. I understand accidents happen but I felt rushed after the delay,. Just thought you should know. Our server was excellent, no fault with her, sorry didn't get her name.”

“Early Christmas Birthday Bash for my twin brother and me. My older brother took my twin brother and me and our wives for a special 'EARLY CHRISTMAS BIRTHDAY'. The food is always fantastic and today was no different. The service is always with a smile, and all the servers came out with fried ice cream for my twin brother and me and sang the traditional Mexican birthday greeting. I love Cucos and always will. This is the ONLY Mexican Restaurant in Montgomery that I know of that serves black beans as an option to refried beans.”

“Ignore the grim storefront. We went on a Wednesday evening, passing through Montgomery. The food was amazing. I ordered House Special Wonton soup. They packed the quart container with freshly cooked meats and vegetables and added a tasty chicken broth. Shrimp were tender. Veggies still had a bit of crispness. Husband had Happy Family. He said it was the best Chinese he’d ever had. I admit egg roll was meh. If you want overcooked, buffet Chinese, this is not the place to go.

Do plan to eat elsewhere, it really is a to go place”

“Surprisingly above expectations!
We were hungry and driving by so just stopped in for a snack. You order at the counter and they bring food to your table, so service was pretty good. Get your own soda and clean up after yourself at the end.
We tried two of their specials. $6 each for samplers of fish, chicken and shrimp. Both samplers also came with fries and hush puppies.
All the food was clearly freshly cooked and hot. The sides were fine, and better than expected. The mains were all very good. Best of all, was the chicken tender. Actually delicious. A real contender against all the fried chicken places around.
A nitpicky knock goes to the tartar sauce, which was bland and basically just mayo.”

“My partner and I had tried to have dinner at the waffle house on Boyd-Cooper and we ended up leaving due to attitude, incorect order and atmosphere (to-go cups,plates and utensils).
Thankfully we came here to the pike rd location where everything was completely different. Great customer service, hospitality and the food was excellent. After the first location I wanted to go somewhere else but my partner really wanted waffle house. I'm super glad I let her talk me into trying again.

“The Pastry Vault and Catering with it’s decadent desserts is not just to be enjoyed, but to be exspericed. These delicacies with their oowee, gooey, goodness, you have to bring your appetite, because you will leave feeling not just full but oh so satisfied. Each bite contains all of the richness you were hoping to experience at a five star restaurant. We had the banana pudding cinnamon roll. You can just see the cinnamon spread it through and through. And certainly enough to share or even keep for another day. It tastes like the banana pudding the grandma used to make, but with a modern twist because it’s also a cinnamon roll. You can’t go wrong with any of their desserts. Check them out at an event near you. You be glad you did. You’re welcome, because I know you will be thanking me with each bite.”

“Well-placed waypoint when I travel between central Florida and northern Alabama. Very quiet place, alway very clean. Low rates! Maintenance has fallen off a bit in recent years, but it's still a good place to stay. Close enough to the city without the troubles that are in the city. It's been a regular stop for me for many years. I'd recommend it to anyone who is regular folks.”
