Authentic dive bar atmosphere, friendly bartender, accommodations in the front for families, and a 21 and over area beyond the bar with games and a couple of pool tables.Food: I loved my BLT. It was on the small side, but a decent amount of B, and plenty of L & T to keep it fresh. My cohorts both ordered the Breakfast Burger. Expecting the egg to be runny like the photos we saw, and thinking the maple glaze would only be on the patty, they were not-so-pleasantly surprised when their eggs were very well done, and the burger bun was saturated in maple syrup. It had a McGriddle taste to it, but with a hamburger patty instead of a spicier sausage. The homemade chips didn't travel well in a to-go container (2 miles away), but the tots were perfectly cooked and salted. The fries were alright, but nothing like the tots.“

“I went to Heroes for brunch on Sunday and it was great! I ordered the loaded hashbrowns with the chicken sausage, a chocolate doughnut, and an iced vanilla latte. It was a bit on the expensive side, but I really enjoyed the food and the coffee! I definitely think the hashbrowns were with the price because of how filling it was, and the doughnut was a nice added treat. The workers here are always super kind (though I wish they'd fix their BlazerBucks machine since it's always out of service) and the dining area is nice and atmospheric. It's in a very pretty spot by Railroad Park, so the view is pretty as well! As for COVID-19 precautions and sustainability, I saw how frequently the workers cleaned the inside and it seems to be well-maintained. Masking or social distancing procedures don't seem to be in place from what I can tell. If you dine-in, there seems to be very little waste, though I would assume plastic containers and utensils are used for take-out. Overall, I had a really great experience and I think this location is like a hidden gem!“
“The Frozen Rooster truck came to our apartment complex tonight! We came right at the end of service and they said they were done, but kindly offered to make us whatever we wanted. We got the boneless wings with fries and 2 pc catfish with cheese fries! Food was so fresh and delicious. Can’t wait to have it again!“

“I had a great evening in the Pizitz Food Hall. I decided to try out this place and the employees were very nice. They allowed me to patiently take my time to choose the topping I wanted. The employees made great suggestions on what I should try for the first time. I ate a hot dog and it was so delicious! It came out fresh and was so full of flavor. Other fast food restaurants in the Irondale/Bham area often offer terrible service, including forgotten and incorrect orders, long lines, and even managers yelling at employees. Whenever I visit Milo's, it is a great experience!! The cashiers are always pleasant, and our order is correct. My favorite meal is the toasted cheese sandwich with pickles, onions, and Milo's sauce, fries, and a Coke Zero.“

“I went out for lunch to Sol's Hot Dogs as my friend has been recommending me for the last two semesters. Before this, I only tried hot dogs once about seven years ago and the experience was so bad that I never touched it again until yesterday. I had the chili dog with cheese, onions, mustard, and ketchup. When I took my first bite, I was so amazed that I bought one more to eat later in the day. The hot dog bun was a little cold but it got even with the sizzling hot sausage and caramelized onions. It was take-out only so it was a bummer for us but we ate it in our car. Apart from that everything seemed to be clean and tasty with lots of flavors.“

Didn't have the sour taste like it had originally. Fries were crispy and well seasoned.My wings were well seasoned and tasted really good I got the honey hot wings this time and they were bangers!And the burger actually had bacon on it this time and was perfectly seasoned it was just so good. I devoured that thing when I got home lol.As you can see in the picture there are bites already taken out of it because I tried the food before I left in front of the owner (he insisted lol). I am glad I got to meet Jay himself and speak with him I hope everything we talked about happens and gets in order for him so that way his staff knows to put out what was given to me.
