“Our waitress is super friendly and made us feel at comfort when it was our 1st time in Alabama and at Mudtown.I hardly eat fried pickles but Mudtown's fried pickles is beyond DELICIOUS!!! Fresh, crunchy and seasoned just right--LOVE IT!! The Shrimp and grits is really good. I went all out and got warm chocolate chip cookies with vanilla ice cream drizzle with chocolate fudge syrup-- spectacular!! Definitely wouldn't mind coming back again!“
“If you love high-quality, amazing food and enjoy Southern cuisine, I cannot recommend this place enough. The culinary attention to detail in every dish is truly outstanding. Do not be deceived by the humbleness of the menu; every single dish is deceptive in its simplicity. When you take a bite you experience multiple dimensions of flavor. We had several dishes and all of them were amazing. I also had the best piece of chicken I have ever had in my life… and that is saying a lot. I only wish I was a local, because I would be there at least once a week!“
“This is a cute little restaurant with great staff and food. Nothing was a disappointment here! We ate at the bar and had a terrific time. I'd recommend it to anyone! My grouper was cooked to perfection as was the complete entrée. My fiancé loved his steak too. Finally we got the sticky toffee pudding to go and the sauce was amazing! The actual dessert muffin was a bit dry without that sauce. Overall, we had a wonderful date night here and certainly would recommend it to anyone! P.S. They have a covered and heated patio out front with water bowls for pets!Parking: The parking is shared for the shipping center. Ample parking for dinner service.“

“We ordered pancake tacos, biscuit sausage and gravy, an omelet, and French toast kids meal. The food was delicious and filling. The grits were so delicious - the perfect blend of creaminess and cheese. We sat on the patio, which was nice. The mimosa flight was good - it was great to try out different flavors and you can customize the flight with whichever flavors you like. The only bummer was that they were out of fried green tomatoes.Service was good. The staff was very nice and pleasant! If we’re ever in the area again, I’m sure we’ll return!Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly atmosphere.“
“We ate here several times during our stay at the Birmingham Marriott. Our breakfasts were excellent; with a special shout-out to Wanda for making wonderful offerings (eggs Benedict, omelets, etc. ), and providing a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. We also enjoyed one late evening shrimp cargot appetizer, which was quite tasty. All and all, this location is a solid option, if one wants to dine-in at the hotel.“

“I attended a Shelby Humane Volunteer Appreciation Dinner here with 50+ guest and it was great. First and foremost the staff was fantastic. They were so efficient, professional and personable. They were on top of serving drinks and having the buffet ready right on time. The food was so good, hot and plentiful. This was an amazing place to honor all the volunteers who give of their time and talents to help the shelter pets and staff at Shelby Humane.“
