“What an incredible hidden gem!
I have enjoyed 10+ tex-mex joints in Texas for all these years.
But this little shop is by far one of the most authentic and filling place.
Flavorful steak, crispy fried shrimp and tender chicken.
Tl;dr Do recommend! Will visit again!“

“This is a beautiful restaurant with really great service. It's a Mexican and Asian restaurant. You can order off of two different menus. The food was really good! I had the steak fajita quesadilla with rice and beans. They also have a variety of agua frescas. I HIGHLY recommend the passion fruit agua fresca it was amazing! So refreshing! They also make some delicious margaritas?“

“As I was looking for an authentic Mexican place, I came upon Loco Lupes. I wanted queso and on the DoorDash website, this was the only place other than Socal, Chiptotle, and Central Mesa. Although those places are great, I do not like their queso very much. I have never heard of Loco Lupes but decided to give it a go. Thank goodness I did because that was one of the best quesos that I have ever had. I also got a cheese quesadilla and salsa. Both were great and I will for sure order this again. 10/10!“

“we have dined at this restaurant a few times in the past and the food was good. But on Friday April 26 2025 we ordered the Dos Amigos special and the shrimp in the dish was spoiled and rotten. The shrimp had a overpowering fishy smell and taste and this is usually a indication that he shrimp is spoiled. Once i informed the staff they offered to take the charge off ,but never did i was still charged for the stinky rotten disgusting shrimp and food! 🤢🤮🤢🤮“

“The service at this Mexican restaurant was excellent and the food is outstanding. My wife had street tacos and absolutely loved them. I opted for the Alambre Fajitas, which were incredibly delicious. The portion size was generous, so I had to order a box to take home. Their queso and salsa were also fantastic. To top it off, we had fried ice cream for dessert, which was the best I’ve ever had in Tuscaloosa. I highly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for great Mexican food. I know my family will be eating there again.“

“Love Jalapeños! This is one of our favorite places to go for good food, good service and a warm, friendly atmosphere. We have several favorites. Pork belly tacos, Dirty Rice, Chimichanga, Fajitas and the new menu item, Maicitos. You can’t go wrong here.

“I ate a Chicken Chimalupa, and two chicken burritos from the Skyland restaurant and it was delicious. I’m talking about the best meal I’ve had in any Taco Casa! Kudos to the staff at the Taco Casa on Skyland near the Walmart and the license bureau.“

“We've been many times. Every visit the people are very nice. The food taste great. Seasoned perfectly and the fluffiest rice I've ever eaten. Portion size is very good, and I usually end up taking some home. Great selection of food too. My favorite place in town.“
