“I am challenged eating out as I have a dairy allergy and am used to settling on my order (salad again...) but lo and behold- I found a dish that was 110% delicious and didn't need any tweaking. The miso glazed salmon is a winner!!! Giant kudos to the chef for understanding the challenges of food allergy sufferers...I finally felt like I wasn't at the "kids table." BRAVO! I will be back!”

“Was just there this Saturday (May 10)... Just moved up from Tampa and was hungry for pizza.... My daughter and I chose Doughs.... The pizza was fantastic and watching the chefs create and toss the pizza gave it a nice homey feeling. Will definitely be back to enjoy more!!!!!!”

“Not my first catfish. I got the whole fried catfish with onion rings and mac and cheese. At other places the sides are ok representations of what they're supposed to be, but that's not the case at Merl's. The mac and cheese and onion rings were great! The hush puppies were fantastic! But the star was the catfish. It was out of this world. You'll be hard pressed to find better.”

“My favorite spot to stop at after dinner in downtown Opelika. They make a spectacular rye. Usual end up taking a bottle home. I'd highly recommend stopping by this place, especially if you want a break from craft beer. Grab a smoked old fashioned and relax in one of those big leather chairs. 🍸”

“Have eaten at IBP a few times before. It is a great restaurant in an old building with plenty of character.

Just a heads up, though, if you’re wanting to eat corned beef and cabbage on St. Patrick’s Day there, you better get there early when they open, or else you will start having wait times exceeding an hour or more.

For an appetizer, we had the corned beef cabbage eggrolls, and they were awesome. Came with 1000 island dressing to dip them in.

My mom had a shepards pie and she said it was very tasteful, but had more mashed potatoes on top than any of the filling at the bottom. She was slightly disappointed in this.

I had the bangers and mash. The sausage was cooked well and the mashed potatoes were fluffy and had plenty of gravy and I even asked for extra gravy. Everything was very flavorful.

My family just lost someone very near and dear to our hearts and we needed to make sure everyone was fed and no one had to worry about spending hours in the kitchen. I called and placed a fairly large order with only a day notice. I was sure this would be impossible. However, these people were so kind and accommodating and made it happen without hesitation.
