“Ate here for the first time today, we are down here for work and asked who has the best bbq and we were pointed to Scruggs, absolutely did not disappoint, whenever I visit Alabama again I’m making a Scruggs visit!!“

“As usual, Smokey C’s is the best lunch place around Decatur. The food is outstanding and everyone is super nice. You can always tell a good restaurant by the length of the line. Even though the line is almost out the door every day. It moves quickly because of their great serving and cooking team. The flavor & tenderness of their smoked chicken can’t be matched by anyone else. With a large selection of sides, you can get just about any combination you like. Don’t forget an order of deviled eggs.“

Chicken potatoes the chicken was shredded and grainy.

The pork or turkey is where it's at just personal preference.

I recommend pork as the safe bet and turkey the same. The Chicken you may like, just texture was off.

Potatoes were big with butter, sour cream, and cheese they were loaded with all 3. And the potatoes itself were excellent.“

“2/24/2024 After waiting patiently for a table and then another 40 minutes on our food, the food was wonderful, cooked exactly the way we ordered. I understand it was a Saturday night, but we were there at 5pm. Then waitress kept coming and just standing looking at us, she would take empty plates and glasses, that part was ok too. but when she came back after we paid and insinuated, we needed to leave because we had been sitting there an hour and that was long enough. I told her we were still eating and trying to enjoy the drinks we ordered. We had only gotten our food 2o minutes prior to this. needless to say, we hurried and finished so we could give up those 2 precious spots. Probably won't go back and if I do it won't be for a 1st date like that was.“

“Went on a Thurs. night for my dad’s 83 birthday. I had the outlaw ribeye, med. rare (nicely cooked), dad had the 9oz filet, mom had the chopped steak, my sig. other had french onion soup and Brussel sprouts. Food was excellent, service was attentive and courteous. Nice job.“

“Ordered take out via Uber Eats, so expected some minor issues. Not hot - no biggie. What I ordered was burger & fries with jalapeño poppers. The poppers were good. Bigger than I expected but tasty. The burger wasn’t really bad, but it was missing mayo and onions - well, see pic. I did have to specifically request the mayo because I also didn’t want tomatoes or pickles. So I’ll try again - maybe better next time.
