5 Best Steakhouses in Decatur

“2/24/2024 After waiting patiently for a table and then another 40 minutes on our food, the food was wonderful, cooked exactly the way we ordered. I understand it was a Saturday night, but we were there at 5pm. Then waitress kept coming and just standing looking at us, she would take empty plates and glasses, that part was ok too. but when she came back after we paid and insinuated, we needed to leave because we had been sitting there an hour and that was long enough. I told her we were still eating and trying to enjoy the drinks we ordered. We had only gotten our food 2o minutes prior to this. needless to say, we hurried and finished so we could give up those 2 precious spots. Probably won't go back and if I do it won't be for a 1st date like that was.“

We arrived shortly before the dinner rush around 530pm. No waiting and were seated promptly. Our server was Lauren, who took our drink order within minutes, asked about appetizers, and returned with the drinks and loaf of warm bread. She took time to answer our questions and quickly brought the little odd & ends we asked for: extra butter, ranch and some paired napkins. The food didn't take long, maybe 15 minutes, and was delicious! During the meal, Lauren checked on us faithfully without being intrusive. Each time she walked by, I'd notice her glancing at our table & checking our drink glasses, they never went dry. 😊 We appreciate that. We want to be checked on but not hovered over so that we can enjoy our meal in peace. She was an awesome server and we had a great meal. We'll definitely be back & al for Lauren's section!“

“Decatur's (Alabama) Logan's is just better than most I've been to around the South. Eve, at the bar is Great. Can't say enough about the service. Food was also excellent. Parmesan Chicken, you get 2 sides, plus a house salad. Lots of food for less than 20 bucks. Cold, Cold Blue Moon and other beers on tap. It's been there for at least 25-30 years. There's probably a reason Outback never came to Decatur. Logan's, Longhorn and Texas Roadhouse dominate this city.“

“There was a hiccup with their brand new online ordering system not sending the order today, but the staff were exceptionally friendly in remedying the situation and getting our meal prepared promptly. Delicious ribeye sandwiches and great staff!“
