“Decatur, Alabama is known for BBQ. Instead of going to the "dancing pig" go to Whitt's Barbeque on Spring Avenue if you want real BBQ with real BBQ flavor. Any way you want it , pork, chicken, in a potato, on a plate, it is the best. And be sure to get the corn chowder!

“As usual, Smokey C’s is the best lunch place around Decatur. The food is outstanding and everyone is super nice. You can always tell a good restaurant by the length of the line. Even though the line is almost out the door every day. It moves quickly because of their great serving and cooking team. The flavor & tenderness of their smoked chicken can’t be matched by anyone else. With a large selection of sides, you can get just about any combination you like. Don’t forget an order of deviled eggs.“

“Got some barbecue potatoes to go went inside bc the drive-thru was crazy backed up. Took about 10 minutes to get food. The potatoes are big and the pulled pork was so good. Highly recommended!
Parking: Small parking lot one way in one way out and traffic makes it difficult to exit at times.“

“Whole chicken amazing. All the food I've tried has been great. I'm not normally a baked bean fan, but their baked beans are the best ever. I never knew how good baked beans could be until I tried theirs. Rib sandwich, delicious. Staff super friendly. Great experience overall. Will continue to return. <3 Thank yall for being awesome!! ❤“

“I drove all the way up from Florida. My first stop was Lawlers barbecue.They are by far the best barbecue I have ever had. Service was outstanding, and they really need to bring a Lawlers to barbecue because Jacksonville Florida does not have any good barbecue locations.“

“Sorry I didn’t get a picture of our food, but I was simply not willing to stop eating long enough to take a picture! Hands down the best BBQ sandwich I’ve had in years. This was a 2 handed baby that will satisfy any appetite! SCRUGGS BBQ will be a ‘must stop’ every time I pass through Decatur, AL!“
