We’ve eaten at Shrimp Baskets on the Gulf Coast for years. We are still really drawn to them, however I missed the shrimp cole slaw. It was a refreshing break from traveling.”

“Wow! I’m impressed! I had told a friend from Warrior that I hadn’t found good Mexican food here in Alabama since I moved to the Cullman area last November (I’m from Colorado). Very clean, friendly, and professional. It’s set up like Chipotle (I haven’t eaten there since they changed their seasonings and meat, at least 4 years). The pineapple salsa is awesome. The Bubba Bowl is enough for two. Iced tea very good and you get free chips w/a salsa bar! $$ is very reasonable! I’ve already “written home” about it to several people! The employee gave me a sample of the pork w/my meal…I’ll be back for that and more!”

The cocktail sauce had just the right “heat” to it without be over the top & He likes it hot! Then he ordered a beef filet cooked medium! It was perfect. ? I chose the Chef special of scallops & succotash! It was really good. Our dessert was the bread pudding. Oh! My!! Simply delicious! I had to bring the half of it home, so I could enjoy it even more the next day!!!? & yes the Orange rolls with the real orange yest was superb!! I must add that Aiden our waitress was the best!! & we really enjoyed talking to Kelsey, General Manager, very friendly & makes sure your dining experience is top notch!!”

“I have to give Guthrie's in Cullman, AL major props. Long story short, I needed 100 chicken fingers FAST. The very nice, helpful girls at Guthrie's in Cullman, AL said they could have them ready in 30 minutes, which was cutting it close for my situation. They had them ready in about 20 minutes and I was able to get them to my event just in time to feed everyone. And they even gave me an extra finger to give my little dachshund that was with me. A huge THANK YOU to the amazing staff at this awesome location. Y'all made a blessing a much bigger blessing. Thank y'all so very, very much!!!!”

“This is my favorite Chinese food in Cullman. I order take-out semi often, ordering over the phone is easy and I can tell when the woman at the restaurant answers VS an answering service. I prefer the woman who works at the restaurant. Phone calls take about 30 seconds, am I given an estimated time or a total? No. But they also don’t take my name or number, and yet every time I show up a few minutes later and my food is hot and ready. The food is always delicious, I’ve tried a variety of the menu options and haven’t found anything bad yet. I love the General Tso’s Chicken combo platter, and the vegetable Lo Mein! They will give you a lot of food for a very good price. The store itself is clean, and I appreciate that it feels family owned, and friendly, and not like it’s trying to be “trendy.” Rice and Soy is here to give you good food at a good price, nothing more. And I love that.

“I ate lunch at Pop's Cafe today and folks if you want some good"home cooking" you have to eat here. The lunch menu changes daily they said and today I had Chicken and Dressing, turnip greens and butter beans.... almost like Mother used to make! When there you have to try their fried pie which changes daily also, today was strawberry. The atmosphere is very cordial and the waitress was very attentive and helpful....she talked me into getting the fried pie.(?)”
