We asked the employees (who were on personal phone calls the entire time we were checked out) if there were more brownies because I was really looking forward to them. We checked out in 2 separate orders so our kids could start eating while we made our desserts. No receipts were offered for either transaction. I went to the bathroom before leaving, and the bathroom was out of paper towels.“

“I visited Neighbor’s today with three kids that I babysit after a trip to the park across the street. We had visited a few times before, so I recognized the man working behind the counter. He greeted us kindly and got the kids their ice creams. When it came time to pay, I went to tap and my card declined. This is where Neighbors stands out. The young man behind the counter said it was okay, and to just repay them when I returned. I definitely should have planned better and brought cash, but the kindness that he demonstrated is what makes Neighbors stay true to their name. Imagine my surprise when, 10+ years later, I walk into this location and see Wildberry Lavender on the menu! I'll try other flavors (all delicious) but WL is my go-to at Jeni's! While I do really enjoy the flavor, it's really all about that beautiful purple color (my favorite)! They have a fun atmosphere, always kind staff, and the best ice cream this side of the Mississippi (probably, maybe?). Though, Big Spoon Creamery does give them a run for their money ;)“

“Great Customer Service! They are often understaffed but they are always quick to say hello and make sure you know they are there to help. You might find a dirty table now and again when a rush comes through but this place is very clean!! I can't even imagine what prompted the bad customer service unless someone was eating their yogurt before it was weighed but even then they will remind that signs are posted and it's just not allowed. This is because there is no flat fee for the yogurt and toppings... its weighed. People who eat their yogurt before it's paid for are literally stealing. 🤔 I drive from Birmingham because of the Customer Service and they have the best Acia Bowls around! yummmm“

There was a very decent variety of ice cream flavors also a good amount of toppings. The croissants here are perfectly flaky, buttery, and freshly baked. The plain croissant had a crisp exterior with soft, airy layers inside, while the almond croissant (my free treat!) was rich, slightly sweet, and packed with crunchy almond goodness. Absolutely delicious!

The owner was warm and welcoming, and the free croissant was such a lovely gesture. It’s rare to find a bakery that cares so much about making customers happy!

“My first impressions were this is a very nice environment. Bright, open, airy and organized. I was excited to try the confetti cake bcuz I'd seen it at the Vestavia Hills location, but they were sold out of them. I'm not a regular customer so I wasn't sure if this cake was their first roll-out of large, shareable desserts. Anyway the cake was presented to me before it was boxed up and I was satisfied with its appearance. I finally tried some later on at home and was surprised that it tasted like a fine dusting of cornstarch was present on it. I mean, that's the first thing that came to mind. The cake had a large crumb like a box cake would. Overall, I was somewhat disappointed but I chalked it up to it being cold, as they keep certain desserts refrigerated. The baker did tell me the cake was brushed with condensed milk, which isn't a bad thing. It adds another layer of flavor and moisture. Well, at this point, I put the cake in the cabinet overnight. The next day, it tasted way better! I gave half of it away, and finished my piece. I can't wait until the strawberry shortcake rotates back around.“
