“The food is good. Everything else is so-so. You order your food at the counter. It's noisy so it's hard to hear what the person taking your order is saying. Then you go to a different counter to pay. They don't give any instructions to do this. For dine in, you get your food like it is take out. At the different counter where you pay. No servers coming by to offer anything. If you don't know, you don't know. For my first time here, I was surprised that they offered no assistance or recommendations whatsoever. Again for dining in, it's noisy.“

“I love this place! It has a warm environment and caring staff. It’s the best place in town to get a chicken salad. The chicken is seasoned well and very tender. The dressing appears to be made from scratch. They are also very generous with their portion sizes, I can often share. If you haven’t tried this place it’s worth checking out! “Grew up in Helena then moved in 1994 but always tried to make a trip to Bob Sykes every chance I got. Now that I’m a mom I brought my husband and son and they both enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and staff. It’s just as I remember from my childhood and it brought back so many many good memories. Thank you for continuing to remain open so we can come get some of the best BBQ around. Never had a bad meal here and traveled all the way from Panama City Fl. to vacation and get some Bob Sykes.

“As always the food was delicious but I ordered a turkey sandwich with nothing but white sauce. The guy taking the order said “no cow cow and no pickles” to which I replied “yes just white sauce. When the girl got my bag she started toward me then went back and got two cups of white sauce and handed me my order. When I got home the sandwich had only red sauce which was still good but not what I wanted or what I ordered..“
