We were greeted and seated immediately by friendly staff. Our server (TK, I think was her name) was amazing. She really read the table and actually gave us a nice dining experience, which does NOT happen in most restaurants these days. She knew the menu, made appropriate suggestions, joked with us and provided appropriate attention. Three of us ordered the short rib /shrimp special. It was so salty it was inedible. Other orders were great. Ran out of crème brûlée. We're celebrating 61st anniversary. Was way off of your usual standard. So disappointing & unlike our previous experiences there.
I had the Wedge Sala with Fried Chicken. The chicken was over cooked, hard. I did not get to tell the waitress until late in the meal. She offered to give me some more chicken but I declined. I mainly wanted someone to be aware.

Char Restaurant is a lovely steak and seafood spot with a relaxing, classic, upscale steakhouse vibe, perfect for date nights or office outings. The menu features a great selection of steak and seafood options with delicious sides. The ribeye and shrimp was excellent, and the pork rind appetizer was very good. The catfish and French fries, with a wonderful salad, was delicious after being re-cooked. Crab cakes were awesome, redfish was wonderful, and the Wagu filet was superb. The service from the hostess, server, waiter, and manager is consistently great. The cajun style dinner had just the right amount of spices. The atmosphere and food make it a place guests will definitely return to.
