“I haven't been to the location in Lacey Springs yet but I was gifted tea from Piper and Leaf this year and it was excellent so I joined their tea subscription. Had an issue with not receiving the full order and they immediately resolved the issue. I have tried three varieties so far and each one has been delicious. I am looking forward to trying more and recommend this company.”

“Just visiting from the north and happen to stumble on this beautiful gem. Everyone was kind inside, Pam and Mary are very sweet. It’s a family owned business with delicious food, great desserts, and very cold beverages. They have very unique things available for purchase and most of the proceeds seem to go back towards the community and/or Uganda. They also do live music. They are very baby and kid friendly. Hope to come back soon!!”

“This Subway is primarily for takeout with one small table and two chairs. It is inside a Wavaho convenience store/gas station. They make typical sub sandwiches, pizzas, salads, etc. to order and are friendly and professional. Popular place in a fast-food desert (no other fast-food options nearby). It is clean, not noisy, and convenient.”

I’ve tried the Mushroom Swiss and the Philly — Philly thus far is still my favorite pick. My son had the Heifer (Heff-a) and said it was the best burger he’s ever had. And, If black folks like your mac-n-cheese then you can trust that it’s good. And, I liked it … a lot! Y’all we live by the airport so if we are cool with driving all the way out then… c’mon y’all, you know it’s good. And, the young lady who took our order made our experience that much more grand! Oh yea, the fries were just a tad too crispy, so if you like softer fries ask that they be pulled sooner.”

“I would recommend, but I was very disappointed when I went today! Got there about 2:30, and waited for someone to help me. At 2:40, someone finally asked if I needed something, I needed a menu. Lady looked at the clock, the stove/oven is shut down , we close at 3:00!! So, I’m guessing the only thing I could have gotten was a coffee or something sweet! I felt shut down on the spot! Didn’t realize that a kitchen shuts off the stove/oven before they actually close!! Very disappointed at the treatment today!!”

“My husband and I grew up in upstate NY so we know what real Italian pizza should taste like. Grimaldi’s certainly delivered. The pizza was exactly as we remembered. The manager on duty was Jamie. Jamie your service was top notch. Your recommendation for the pizza I selected was on point. Jamie conversation with you was great in addition to your kind spirit that you displayed. Everyone one that I had an encounter with was so kind and professional. The first element that I always pay close attention to is the level of customer service that any establishment shows. Again, the customer service along with the great food will be my reasons to return. Tonight, I brought my family along for their first time experience. They were thoroughly impressed and they aren’t easily impressed. So, I ordered the highly recommended chocolate chip cookies to go. I’m super excited to try them later. My hats off to Pappos once more. Trust me, I only give compliments when they’re earned plus offer to anyone or any place my suggestions for improvement in a professional manner. “Food and atmosphere was amazing. Service was a little off, but they did have multiple large groups spread out through the restaurant that they were servicing. I did order a second meal to take home for lunch the next day lucky for me. They didn't put it on the ticket because that second meal never arrived. They did offer to make the meal for me, but we have already been at the restaurant for an hour and a half didn't wanna wait the extra 20 or 30 minutes for the next meal. ”

“My first time trying LawLers Barbecue in Owens Cross Roads, I was impressed, but after going back the very next day, I can confidently say we’ve found our new barbecue spot!

On my first visit, I ordered the pulled pork sandwich and banana pudding. The pulled pork sandwich was an easy 10/10—so good that I honestly wished I had ordered two. The pork was flavorful, tender, and exactly what I was hoping for.

I enjoyed it so much that I came back the very next day with my family and ordered the #1 Family Special with a pound of pulled pork, mac & cheese, and potato salad. Everything was delicious! The pulled pork was just as good as I remembered, the mac & cheese was creamy and comforting, and the potato salad was a perfect side.

We also tried both the white sauce and the red barbecue sauce, and they were fantastic. It’s hard to pick a favorite because they each brought something different to the meal. The white sauce had that classic Alabama flavor, while the red sauce was rich and flavorful. We found ourselves going back and forth between the two.

As for the banana pudding, I still think the presentation is great, but for my personal taste it could use a little more flavor. That said, it certainly wouldn’t stop me from coming back.

The fact that I returned the very next day says it all. Great food, generous portions, delicious sauces, and a meal the whole family enjoyed. We’re already looking forward to our next visit—LawLers has officially become our new go-to barbecue spot!”
