“In Alabama on business, and on our way back south from Huntsville, we discovered Galen's. Since its my name, just had to stop by. Very friendly southern family hole in the wall (and I don't mean this in a bad way at all). Food was good and the staff was great.”

“I hit the drive thru in the mornings and evenings before and after work. Staff is always friendly and food is as good as fast-food can be. I hope corporate sees this and does something special for the employees. Maybe even some raises! ?”

“Home town atmosphere. Had cheese burger and Nachos. Was cool by the time I went to ask about it. I guess eating in you still have to pick up at counter or young lady didn't hear me say eat-in.I believe most people do take out.Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level no steps”

“I was dog-sitting in OXR and needed a quick cup of coffee before I went to work. There haven’t been any options for coffee on this side of town so I was pleasantly surprised by this quick, convenient and very tasty coffee hutch! I will say $6 and some change for the equivalent of a tall latte at Starbucks was a little steep but I was in a pinch and it was fast and tasty.”

“The first time I tried it,my sister brought pizza home pizza because we were working on her house in Scottsboro and I was immediately a huge fan. What are the odds I would move to Woodville about a mile from this place ?!?! Every time I ve ordered,I've gotten a Supreme Pizza which I give 5-stars..but they also have pasta, sandwiches, etc.that I haven't tried, but have heard nothing but great things about..I was born in Chicago,Illinois so I know a thing or two about great pizza and this pizza is right up there with any pizza I've ever eaten..Parking: Large parking lot.”

“When I come to this side of town I always make it a point to come here. Usually I just get sushi to-go which is always a fast & pleasant experience. Tonight I decided to sit, have a drink and read a little with dinner and it was a wonderful evening spent. Kendall was my waitress and was a total sweetheart. Everyone here is so delightful and the food is excellent. I recommend the Tokyo Mule, a perfectly light cocktail to pair with your sushi and the Paradise roll if you want something different to try.”

“Superb quality Mexican food. We have enjoyed all the entrees we have tried in our multiple visits since moving to the area only about 3 months ago. Quantity is typically more than we can eat. Side dishes compliment the entrees very well and are also very tasty. Service was excellent and tended to our needs quite well. They had plenty of staff to serve a very busy restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant, bordering on festive. We felt like we were experiencing a bit of old Mexico in this place. It is our "go to" Mexican restaurant in our area (and there are many to choose from).”

“This was my first time trying this restaurant. I went with a few friends from work. It was delicious! I had the hamburger steak and gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans. Also, the caramel coconut pie was to die for! I will definitely be coming back again!”
“ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I had a work bestie leaving and wanted to get cupcakes for her but she's got a gluten allergy. I thought "i live in the Bay Area, it shouldn't be that hard to find a GF bakery" I was looking at reviews for other GF bakeries and one of the reviews for a different bakery listed this place saying this had the best cupcakes. And they were not lying!! Cupcake order was: cookies n creme, chocolate, red velvet, vanilla, sprinkles, strawberries n cream. They were all so MOIST. This has not been my experience with other gf desserts so i was pleasantly surprised. Also grabbed a cinnamon roll which my work bestie just about cried over because it was so delicious. And i also got chocolate chip cookies that were DIVINE! Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean gf bakery with desserts that taste like desserts”
“I’m a very picker eater but came buy to do some work on a cooler that they had which led them telling me they do home cooked style meals in which I tried and absolutely loved they fixed me a plate with dressing deviled eggs mashed potatoes green beans and break absolutely such a great tasting meal would recommend it to anyone not only that they are all sweet people who will take care of you!”

“I visited here for lunch a few weeks ago after a day at Cathedral Caverns. I had a nice time overall! This is very much a small town diner. It's nondescript and almost looks like a house. There's a few designated parking spots out front and a gravel lot with more space to the side, but it's a little bumpy so drive cautiously! There's also a window where you can walk up and order carryout from outside.Inside felt homey and clean if a little on the aged (think like grandma's house) side. You pay at the counter but a waitress comes out to take your order. They have plate lunches and American classics like hamburgers, hot dogs, and chicken tenders. It also seems like they do a big breakfast business. It was a touch too warm inside for my preference but YMMV.I ordered a chicken tender plate lunch with French fries and fried okra. It also came with a small, soft roll. It took a while for my food to come out but they were fairly busy and it was clear my food was made fresh! The tenders were giant and juicy, and the okra still had a nice crispy exterior. The tenders almost had a lemony flavor; I wonder if they were brined or marinated or something. The fries were standard and nothing special, but perfectly fine. I got a cup of ranch for dipping and it was also solid ranch. I don't remember my exact total but it was certainly reasonable for lunch.I'd be happy to come back again sometime, and would love to try breakfast.”

“Our second time here and it was as good as the first. The pork chop was maybe better than my husband was even expecting, and he had pretty high expectations. The sauce on my chicken pasta (Zorbino) was great as well. We ate both looking forward to the leftovers. Bartender Jessie (sp?) was soooo attentive, and she seems to really enjoy her job, which is great to see. The drive over from Madison is worth it!”

“Service is always with a smile.Food is amazing.Don't eat here because it's one of my favorite places to eat and hate for them to get so busy they run out of ribs. So best to stay away and save it for myself.”

“First time trying! I believe John was his name and he helped us through the menu with recommendations and the best personality! My husband says he’s never met a barista quite like him with the over and beyond attitude and detailed descriptions of the menu. Our iced caramelizers were perfect ! Will be back in the future !”
“We've been going here all summer. Their summer hours are Thurs, Friday & Saturday from 12 - 6pm. My kids have yet to try all the flavors but ask to go daily. They have a kiddie size cup and I have really enjoyed treating my kids to their desserts. Ask them to add cream to your shaved ice, you'll thank me later! Lots of ice and lots of flavor. 5 stars, will return! I'm not sure where they will be after the summer (selfishly I hope they stay) but I do know they have a New Hope address listed on their trailer. You can find that address on the main photo of the trailer (lower left corner of trailer).”

“We moved to Huntsville last year, and have been disappointed with the Chinese restaurants we've tried. Tonight we drove over to OXR to try China Cook, and were very pleased with what we found. The best egg rolls we've had in town, full of vegetables and generously flecked with bits of roast pork and perfectly fried. My hot and sour soup was good, but for my taste could have used a bit more black pepper punch and a bit more vinegar tang. My wife's wonton soup was heavenly with savory dumplings in a rich broth. We shared the mu shu pork for dinner. Wow! A generous portion, full of perfectly crisp/tender veggies and savory roast pork. Very satisfying, and very good. We each had two "burritos" rolled up with an excellent hoisin and sesame oil sauce, with enough filling left over to bring home for breakfast scrambles. We are very much looking forward to our next visit, and hoping there's a secret menu with classic Sichuan dishes!”

“I ordered 2 Carnita tacos and the.flavor was fabulous. The only downside was a chunk of fat which I had to dispose of surreptitiously. Nevertheless, I give them 5 stars.”
“We were happy with our experience. The Pavilion is a good concept offering multiple food trucks connected to a building with a large seating area. You order from a single counter and the person goes to the respective trucks and gives them your order. We selected a mix of food from two trucks and the food was great. The building has roll up doors allowing a nice dinner by the lake.”
“We’ve found this gem recently and absolutely love it! I keep forgetting to ask the employees name who works there. Wonderful Gentleman who has great customer service. Makes me feel confident in the drinks I order and helps down to detail what I can add to them based on how I’m feeling that day. Has always had a great attitude. Would recommend this nutrition place to everyone! Clean and Modern environment.”

“Took my mom here for a treat a couple of weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed our visit! This little dairy bar has been open a long time. I wanna say it's been since the 50s, but I don't remember for sure. Super small little building in the center of New Hope; it's on the Main Street but still kind of easy to miss as it's just not super conspicuous. There are two metal picnic tables on the side of the building and one small table inside, so it's mostly grab and go. Very limited parking too, though the church across the street might not take offense if you parked there and walked over.Anyway, we walked in and were greeted by the friendly, hard-working employees. You'll find standard dairy bar offerings here: burgers, fries and onion rings, soft serve ice cream, etc. We both got a hamburger and fries and then split a small vanilla hot fudge sundae for our treat. Our food came out quickly but was freshly made -- I'd know, since I got to watch from the bar while we waited! The fries are frozen and then fried but they were at least fried fresh and salted correctly. They also have "Dot's sauce," their take on comeback/mayochup sauce, which was lightly peppery, a little sweet, and excellent with the fries. The burgers and sundaes are the shining stars here, though. Smallish and simple burgers but very fairly priced and a delicious beefy flavor. Simple storebought buns but it doesn't matter when the meat is so tasty. The sundae was smooth and creamy and delightful, with the perfect ratio of toppings. We had a lovely time soaking in the sunshine at one of the picnic tables.Certainly give them a try if you're in the area and craving a homemade burger. They do a brisk carryout business.”
