“Can't remember what I had the last time I went here. I know it was good so I had to come back. I wanted hibachi but I hadn't had whitefish hibachi. I order the whitefish hibachi with the teriyaki sauce and it came with soup. When I picked up the order I noticed there weren't any customers in the restaurant. I was surprised because the reviews here are generally great. Maybe people were out shopping. Anyway, I was greeted by the waitress and she gave me my order.The food smelled absolutely delicious on my way back to my house. When I opened the bag I checked out the soup that came with it. I'm not really sure what kind of soup it was it. I know it had tofu and tasted fishy. Not in a bad sort of way though. I wasn't much interested in it. Not because it was bad but I really just was amazed at how the whitefish hibachi looked. Even as a takeout order it looked so appealing. And when I actually tasted it I wasn't disappointed. I mixed in the yum yum sauce over the veggies and the rice and a smidgen on the teriyaki glazed fish. Every bite I tasted was wonderful. The veggies were crisp and fresh. The rice had a nice consistency. The teriyaki sauce on the whitefish is something I never had but surprisingly it works. Plus the fish was cooked to perfection.I really enjoyed my meal. I hope more people get to know about Little Tokyo. This was my second time eating from here and this experience was really enjoyable. I give it 5 stars.“
“One of the few places I have found in Mobile with Bento Boxes for lunch. The price is more than fair for the amount and selection of foods you receive. I like the Tempura Box, either shrimp or chicken. Both are amazing and a great choice for lunch. Service is friendly and the staff is very attentive. Everything in the “box” is perfect. The tempura is crunchy and “flaky”. Bento includes soup, salad, entree meat, rice, wanton and sushi roll. Great combination of a little of everything!“
“One of My Favorite locations! Great People Great Service! The staff and Managers are very Honest!!My favorite is Hibachi! You can order rice or noodles! The menu includes sushi rolls some are fried ! The fried rolls are Amazing! The plates are fully loaded!!If you have not tried this location, don’t pass them by! You will not be disappointed! If you are a small eater you will not only get full but have some for later! For the big eater you will be satisfied and full after you complete your meal! I also in include a roll with my meal sometimes and I do have leftovers!Highly Recommended!!There is also a kids menu and soda! My daughter likes the cultures sodas ! They also serve soup, my brother’s favorite!There is seating for a large and small groups! Large parking area and clean bathrooms!“
“Decided I wanted to treat myself to sushi after getting my hair done so came to a place I've never been before to give it a go. I got here initially around 3 but found a sign that said temporary business hours 4-9 -- like so many places they obviously have staffing shortages. Not deterred, I decided to go next door to Jerusalem cafe for a Turkish coffee and app before coming back over just after 4. I was the first customer to arrive so the chef told me to sit where I liked. It's a small restaurant with pleasing aesthetics but nothing too over the top. I like the lotus-ish looking light fixtures above each table. The server came and got my drink order as I looked over the menu. There's lots of offerings, whether starters, cooked dishes or sushi/ sashimi/ maki choices. I decided on an Orange Ball Roll and one of the specials on the white board, a *99 roll. If you get two specialty rolls it comes with a very tasty Clear soup, so I sipped on that as the chef made my rolls. The rolls were both very tasty and fresh, with a good rice to filling/topping ratio, in my opinion. My only gripe is just a picky one, I prefer my rice to be more moist/ vinegary, so that was the only thing lacking in my opinion. I got two more rolls for my friend togo, but haven't heard back yet how they liked them. I wish they had a happy hour special from like 4-6.“
“The sushi was excellent, but sliced a bit thick for my preference. Pad Thai was very good! The atmosphere is lacking in my opinion, boxes stacked in the dining area and not very good lighting. Pricing is in line with other restaurants of the same type.“
“My wife and I were looking for great sushi and we found it! It was so fresh and delicious. The specialty rolls were unique and tasty. It's some of the best sushi we ever had. The cocktails were great also. Ashley, our waitress, was delightful! She gave us great service and shared the secret sushi menu with us and then gave us great recommendations. We will definitely come back the next time we visit Mobile. I highly recommend Chuck's!“
“This was great new restaurant to my family. We had miso soup which was very flavorful. Their signature sushi roll, the Tetsujin Roll, was an excellent combination of shrimp tempura, cream cheese, and snow crab. Two of us split a Hibachi chicken & shrimp order. The teriyaki chicken was a very generous portion. We expect to come back soon!“
“I have eaten at Shiso several times over the last few months, usually for lunch. The restaurant is very attractive and the food is excellent. Service today was particularly outstanding. Shiso is my favorite Asian restaurant in Mobile. I usually order tempura because it is so good, but I have also had teriyaki which is also excellent. Highly recommended!“
“I've been wanting to try this place for a while now. I had to do some things at the hospital, so I called in an order afterwards. I live in Lucedale, MS, so it's slim pickings for sushi. This place did not disappoint. I only ordered 1 special roll, the Roll Tide Roll. Absolutely delicious. It was a large portion that I couldn't finish and the price was way cheaper than I'm used to paying for sushi. I'll definitely be back!“
“We went on a rare, Friday night, dinner without the kiddos. Osaka did not disappoint. They prepared the best sushi, soup, and wontons that I’ve ever eaten. The atmosphere and service were superb, and the Margaritas were delicious. We’ve definitely found our new go to Japanese restaurant!“

“This was my first time visiting, and I will say it definitely won't be my last! This was also my first time trying a poke bowl, and it far exceeded my expectations! I got a poke rice bowl with crab, corn, carrots, cucumbers, sesame seeds, scallions and poke sauce. Every ingredient they put in it was super fresh and tasty! The customer service was excellent, they made you feel warmed and welcomed. I also got a vanilla boba with tapioca pearls, and it was super good! Can't wait for my next visit!“
