Restaurantji's Smiths Station guide: Where to find the best Mexican flavors.
“Look guys, y'all make some excellent tamales, no joke. I mean just fully amazing food. But this thing where I'm ordering for takeout on your app and then I go to pick it up and you guys closed early and didn't tell me? That sucks. Like, that was our dinner tonight. Not cool.A little communication would go a long way.“
“My husband and I went for lunch and I must say it was a great experience. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was clean and well decorated, and the service was quick and nice. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a more authentic Mexican restaurant in Columbus.“
“Delicious food fantastic sweet nice employees beautiful decor can't find a better deal they are very reasonably priced clean establishment clean bathrooms they even have mouth wash in them fantastic experience all around you don't know what you are missing!“
“La Nacional Mexican Buffet in Columbus GA is a delightful dining experience! Although the buffet style has transitioned to cafeteria service due to Covid, the quality of food remains exceptional. The Chile relleno received high praise from my husband, while I personally enjoyed the flavorful fajita tacos. Despite the change in serving method, the cleanliness of the restaurant and reasonable prices make it a worthwhile visit. We'll definitely be returning for more delicious meals!“
“We're lifelong Texans visiting Columbus for a second time and decided to try Monterrey Tex Mex despite our usual reluctance to try any Mexican restaurants out of state. This place is legit. We had a great meal and were very happy with the food, service, and prices. If Monterrey Tex Mex was located in Houston, I would absolutely add it to the rotation of my favorite Tex-Mex joints.“
“I go here frequently. It’s my favorite restaurant in town. The food is always great. I usually get Tex Mex Al pastor tacos (I add grilled veggies and onions and a cup of red salsa for that extra flavor) or I get the same deal but nacho fries instead of tacos. There have been a few mess ups, but it’s always fixed and with how delicious it is I just can’t help but come back. Shoot, even the mess ups taste good. I wish I could hire you guys as my personal chefs.“
“Our waitress Monica was knowledgeable about the menu to the point where I trusted her so much, that I let her order for me. Good Recomendation Ever, the bartender made 2 of the best drinks. The Strawberry Margarita was delicious! The Strawberry Habanero Margarita is ?Disclaimer, Habanero-infused alcohol is Very hot! However, it does not mean it wasn't a well-made drink ?If you like Hot drinks and can take the spice, The Strawberry Habanero Margarita is for you?. Will be coming back on Fridays & Saturdays for the festivities.“
“A very cool, low key family owned Mexican joint. Richard the owner is very kind and makes the best drinks. The food is always well seasoned and hits the spot. They also offer very good cocktails! The restaurant is well kept and clean. They are very accommodating and will suggest something if you’re looking for a different dish or are new to Mexican cuisine. I personally feel like they have the best refried beans in town.“
“My wife brought lunch home from this place today , my first time tasting their food . I had ElPastor and carne asada tacos and we shared a shrimp cocktail , all were outstanding . Authentic , home made and delicious . The absolute best pastor I have ever eaten . I can't wait to go back again .“
“The Chile Relleno was delightful. Our attentive waiter visited our table frequently to offer refills, clear app dishes, etc.Kid-friendliness: They have a variety of options for the munchkins, boosters, and high chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant is on ground floor, has double doors, and accessible seating.“
“I love this little place! It's a food truck, but has a little building and covered patio attached.Several tables with umbrellas set up on a gravel area outside the truck.VERY courteous staff. It is helpful if you speak Spanish as well, because the staff do. But THEIR English is much, MUCH better, than MY Spanish!I have eaten the chicken quesadilla (wonderful), the birillas (delish), and an currently about to try the burrito!“
“First time there and I loved the food. Chips and salsa were great and I had a Loaded Chimichanga. Yummy! They were very crowded so we chose to sit outside to shorten the wait. It got very chilly before we finished but we had a blast. Will definitely go again.“
