“Great food and service !“

“we went this evening for the first time in ages (do they'll survive without my support for ages to come). Came in with friends and was seated. Waitress got drink order, and brought that. a friend ordered 3 Tres Amigos and said the kids would get something different, There was 5 adults and 4 kids. Waitress had to be told that there was more orders after returning with drink refills. Food was great, no complaints there. she brought the tickets (we were split into 2 tickets) I had an extra charge on my ticket, when I asked about the charge she said it was because she brought one of the kids drinks in a regular cup !? what!? Both of the kids ordered from the kids menu (yes both under 11) she reduced the drink price although its included in the meal, I paid for the drink as another drink. Waitress was rude, not attentive, and careless. I was also charged more for my appetizer Quesadilla than what I should have. I gave up trying to explain anything when the waitress went sour.“

“Unbelievable. I'm a 40 year old fat guy that eats anything and everything. I have a lot to compare this place to. These are the best tacos I've ever had in my life. I dropped $100 at a steakhouse earlier this week on a meal that now feels deeply unsatisfying. The staff was incredibly polite and patient with me trying to make a decision with the menu. This place has been right under my nose for years; I can't believe this is my first time.“

“One of our favorite regular spots.There are many other Mexican restaurants close by, but we continue to come back to El Molcajete. The price is considerably lower, the servers are always super friendly and attentive, and the food is consistently good. They make a very good Jalapeño Margarita! They have a ton choices of Margaritas, but get one made fresh. You won’t be disappointed. The tacos are delicious- tons of flavor!

There’s a large covered outdoor seating area and when the weather is warm, there’s occasionally live music. Plenty of room for a group.

I notice some negative reviews from a while back. Don’t let those scare you! Admittedly, around 2021, the quality of the food declined, but it did everywhere! After the pandemic, restaurants were struggling! I can say the same for every other restaurant in town during that timeframe. But it was a brief lapse in quality and then everything improved. We eat there once a week and have enjoyed every meal for years.“

“Between here and the converted bus, I've been eating El Cazador's food for about 15 years. I've tried almost all items available, but the tacos are my go-to. Beef cheek, spicy pork, chicken, you name it, it's always delicious, tender, fresh, and full of flavor! “10/10 trust me! Best authentic mexican i’ve have in the Hsv/Madison area so far. I’ve tried the barbacoa street tacos, the burger, the wings, and the steak street tacos. The only thing that isn’t a 10 on this list is the wings and its just a preference thing because they’re pretty big but i just wanted to try a good bit of the items on the menu. Overall I literally eat here almost everyday, the street tacos are so good.“
