Jack's Family Restaurant Reviews
I had a screw in my burger at the Deerfoot Parkway location in Trussville Al. Called the store and the manager said, " bring it back and we will get you one with HOPEFULLY not a screw in it" I did not find it funny so I declined and asked for my money back.
Employees sit outside 20 minutes before they close just to gossip, they never put the salt on the fries even if asked to, they just have bad attitudes every time I come ! This is night shift, day shift is great !! While taking orders one girl had her air pods in jamming out and got the order completely wrong. I absolutely dislike coming to this jacks. They are always making us drive to the front while they sit around and talk instead of making the food. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!
Tried applying for a job at Trussville Jack's. they keep giving me the runaround. They won't hire me because I'm WHITE. Was called in for interviews. and they hired 2 black kids . and told me they don't have enough hours.

Jack's Family Restaurant receives mixed reviews, reflecting both positive experiences and recurring issues. Customers appreciate the quality of the food, especially mentioning the gravy biscuits as the best and noting that the chicken and fries are often fresh and hot when delivered. One customer praised the drive-thru experience at the Deerfoot location, highlighting the friendly service and quick delivery of food, with a mention of a delivery person who kept food hot using a special bag.
However, consistency appears to be a challenge. Several reviews mention that the food, particularly burgers, can be cold and stale if not freshly prepared, especially during the afternoon and evening shifts. Repeated issues include order mix-ups, rude staff, and slow service, particularly past 7 pm. Some employees are described as nice and hardworking, while others seem to have a poor attitude, which affects the overall atmosphere negatively. The night shift is often criticized for being slow and for employees playing around or eating in front of customers, although managers are acknowledged as trying their best.
Overall, Jack's Family Restaurant offers tasty food, but service quality and consistency vary greatly depending on the time and staff. Customers suggest improvements such as better training, using hot food bags for delivery, and ensuring friendly, efficient service to enhance the dining experience.
