“Food was great got the all meat plate with baked beans and Mac n cheese. The mac n cheese was awesome and baked beans were good too, sausage was meh and the other meats were good too but the brisket was great even went back for more after I got off work but they were sold out. Great friendly people. I did have to wait in my truck a little but for my food but they brought it out to me. As of right now they are only open 2 days the owner was talking about adding a day. It's worth the stop.“
“Hands down the best catfish! No tartar sauce needed. The seasoning and crispy texture of the catfish were flavorful and had a nice kick to it. Beans, coleslaw and hush puppies were the perfect compliments, also. The only complaint is that they aren’t in Texas so we could enjoy this all the time. Highly recommend Jefferson’s!!“
“We arrived from Nevada to celebrate my daughters 40th birthday. I was craving bbq and collard greens. My daughter recommended the Rib Cage BBQ and it was awesome!! The ribs were fall off the bone fantastic. The loaded baked potato was enough to feed four. The best!!!I was still craving collard greens but they were sold out. I told the owner that I travelled 2000 miles to have some great greens. She promised to make some for me and they would be ready the following day. My son in law picked up two quarts of collard greens the following day. I ate one entire quart in one sitting. THE BEST GREENS I EVER ATE!! Thank you to the owners for the excellent customer service and outstanding bbq. We will definitely stop back, every time we visit my daughter, son in law and the grandkids.“
“My family and I stopped in on our way to town and had the greatest experience! We had a waitress named Kristy. Y'all. Kristy was the most darling woman. Service was 10/10 and I only wish she worked in a town close to me. She went above and beyond for all of us and I genuinely appreciate it.“
“First of all the days and hours on Google wrong they are open all days except Monday pls see photo for correct phone # the owner said she was having issues editing Google , we are from Ms and went to Hotsprings for the horse race and googled local bbq. This place about a 5 miles out from Oaklawn casino / racing track .This place is a locally owned mom and pop dive , but we felt very safe., but the food is the star of the show , so good the pulled pork sandwich we had was smoky and tender with a nicely Grilled bun and the bbq pork loaded fries were the best I have ever had !!! So yummy ty again !!“
“Overall, my experience at Stubby's was pretty good. However, I live in the KC area, so I am extremely picky about my BBQ. My wife and I had just left the horse races and saw Stubby's across the street, so we decided to give it a try. (I am always up for trying a new BBQ joint) I had the rib plate dinner, and my wife had a loaded spud. The ribs had a good smoky flavor, but the meat was a kind of tough, and the meat didn't fall off the bone. The BBQ sauce was good if you like a sweeter sauce. The baked beans were OK, they seemed like they were just barely doctored up pork and beans. The coleslaw to me was the worst part of the meal, it was just shredded cabbage with a watered down tasteless sauce. My wife, on the other hand, said her potato was excellent. I must admit it looked pretty fantastic.Like I said, I am very picky, and I have very high standards when it comes to BBQ.“
“Can do Keto breaking fasts here ...but tell the waitstaff "NO bread or peanuts" from start to finish. Of course no fried stuff or desert. Green beans (with beacon) and brocholi (warning: sometimes served raw) with a variety of meats and my CGM shows no blood sugar spikes. We get the dual pork loin (about 8oz ea) and double dreen beans and share. Water, unsweet tea or diet coke for us drink wise. We leave a 25% tip for serving us two. We like the apropriate portions and the value. Never a problem. However, it can be noisy from crowds and music. The grill is good! Not really a quiet low key romantic spot. Duh. Lol“
“Best BBQ in town! I have been going to McClards since my childhood and absolutely love this place! I’ve got to say that the tamales are out of this world good and the full spread is HUGE! Wonderful place to grab a bite and the staff is excellent too! Go give them a try!“
“Really nice place to grab a bite to eat for yourself, the family or a party of people. Either eat outside at the picnic tables under the awning or in your vehicle. The food is amazing and will go back again and again. The prices are reasonable.Parking: I'd say probably close to around 10 to 15 spots for parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The whole lot is ground level. No steps or hills. The lot is gravel so pushing a wheelchair might be a little difficult.“
“There was 3 of us...we loved everything we had...brisket tacos, brisket nachos, pulled pork fries...to be honest after having the fries would have them over nachos chips but everything was awesome...stand alone meat...met the cooks, they were ? ? ? ?“
“Would I say this is the best BBQ I have ever had? Probably not, although the food is good quality and is delicious. Now to my point about that. We ordered a sampler platter which included brisket, ribs, smoked sausage, chopped BBQ, plus 2 sides and a roll and a piece of Texas toast. That was only $24! We left food on the table as there were only 2 of us. If you want real good BBQ at very reasonable prices, this is a place for you! I saw someone with a BBQ salad and couldn't believe how big it was. I also saw someone with nachos. Same huge portion. Try it out! Eat, drink and be awesome!!“
“We were there both nights of the St. Pats Shortest Parade event. The restaurant was so inviting with a band, restrooms, indoor and outdoor dining, and an amazing St.Patrick’s atmosphere! The owner came around to everyone and chatted!! He was so gracious and kind. Our server were so nice and arrentive,. And the food?? Out of this world!!! We hope to come back next trip!!!“
