“We eat here everytime we come to Jonesboro. This past time our Server was Bella and she was awesome, the food was incredible as well. We had a mishap where we left some personal items at the store on accident, they secured them and allowed me to come back and get them even after closing. It’s nice to know not only is the food and service great, but the staff can be trusted as well! When we eat in Jonesboro this place is always the first option! “Absolutely delicious sushi! I had the crunch roll and—wow—it was so good! Perfectly crispy, flavorful, and super satisfying. I ordered to-go, and everything was packed so neatly with chopsticks, soy sauce, and all the fixings. A+ for presentation! Loved the whole experience and I’m already planning my next visit!“

“Sumo's is a good hibachi restaurant, probably the better out of the two here in Jonesboro, but I wouldn't go as far as to say it is the best hibachi you are going to have here in Arkansas. It was just an average hibachi experience. I wish the fried rice was seasoned more, but it was still pretty good. My steak was cooked perfectly, and they accommodated my boyfriend who has a shellfish allergy. Overall, just 4 stars. Nothing memorable, but will get the job done if you're craving hibachi.“

I don't like ramen, but I use to try it from time to time, because looks delicious, well, today I liked it.
Well, I didn't like all the accompaniments (like: bamboo shoots), nor the little sweet Kobe beef, and was not a bad taste, I think is just not for me; even so, the pork chashu, white shoyu broth, egg and the noodles of the ramen, furthermore... The miso soup, and fried gyozas... All of them were *Yummy*.

And the service and place were excellent!“

“I had to get on here to give credit where credit is due. I went last night feb 28, 2025. The server was EXCELLENT, OUTSTANDING, GENEROUS, etc. all of the words you can think of. That was her. I’m a young mother and so is she and she and her son deserve the world for how she treated my boyfriend and I.
As for the place. Drinks? They were good. And Strong. And Pricey.
Sushi? Fire. I ordered a fried and my boyfriend ordered raw and a cali roll. Suuuper good. Decent priced for the sizes.
Lastly, the hibachi. They got our order sent to a wrong table so we had to wait longer but our waitress compensated us with free wontons. But the HIBACHI?? If I could’ve sent it back I would’ve. I didn’t order my steak rare. It came out mooing even though it was cut into pieces. My boyfriend’s chicken was tough (over done) and we are rice fanatics. Trash. $16 for a steak hibachi isn’t a bad price. But when the smallest portion of raw steak, a few veggies, and a half of a cup of “fried rice” (really just white rice) come to your table, I was shocked. DONTTTT eat the hibachi. But def could go here for a quick sushi date. The place was really cute! They had some Japanese culture decorations up. It was nice and clean. They also had teas and smoothies and slushies! I’d def go back to try a drink and get some good customer service or even a roll. But we prob won’t be going back for the hibachi.“

“Husband and I go every Sunday for brunch! Love this place, always hot and fresh! Because they don’t have 100 buffet items they focus on fewer items so they are constantly being made fresh and delicious. Sushi is also amazing!!! 10/10 would recommend!“
