Sushi Bars near Southaven

“Kublai Khan is always one of my favorite restaurants in Southaven it’s definitely Top 5 out of approximately 150-200! The Mongolian Stir Fry Bowl is amazing occasionally along with the Amazing Sushi that they have! I have to get the Crab Puff appetizer everytime! The Raspberry Chimis are amazing too! And they have awesome servers, to go people, grillers and hostesses. They never caught an attitude with me and made sure I had everything I needed and made me feel welcomed and at home which is what I love making me want to come back once a week! Although that’s too much lol!“

“My new favorite place for hibachi chicken! The dinner comes with hibachi chicken, sautéed vegetables (carrots, zucchini, onions, and mushrooms), and fried rice. The chicken has a wonderful flavor from the teriyaki-ish sauce it’s cooked in- it’s a bit sweet, yet savory. The veggies also have a fantastic rich flavor. Best of all is the fried rice- it’s obvious that it is actually fried the authentic way… it contains egg, some very small vegetables (not sure what kind), a really really good seasoning of some kind, the texture is perfectly dense but not at all dry, and you can just tell the ingredients were cooked up the right way (some places have a kind of generic fried rice where every grain is the exact same shape and color and a strange taste, making it seem like it comes to the restaurant already prepared and then it is simply warmed up when you order- this is NOT that rice!). I have a little bit of trouble understanding the gentleman that always answers the phone to take my order, but it’s very never had a problem and it’s been great every time. Even during busy hours if there’s a small line of customers either ordering or picking up, the line moves quickly ajd the line just tells me that other people love this place just as I do!“

The bento box is my go to (talk about being full) and the tornado, titanic and dancing eel rolls are simply unforgettable. If you don't do sushi, relax- there's great hibachi options and the prices are hard to beat! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 10/10 would recommend!!!!!!“

“We had such a great first visit to Japan House! The hibachi was delicious, the sushi was fresh, and the atmosphere was wonderful. My son especially loved the fish paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling 🐟✨ It made the meal feel extra special. We’ll definitely be back!“

“I love this place. This particular location on Kirby parkway has the best tasting food ( I’ve ate at all the other ones in Memphis even in Desoto county ) this location is still the best tasting. Also I’ve never had bad customer service from here and my food is always amazing. I probably eat her 5 times a month lol. My fave go to meal for sure ❤️“

“The food was good, very typical of a sushi restaurant, nothing to put it over the top though. The service was really good and she communicated very well through the debacle that happened. The kitchen lost my ticket, so people coming in after me were getting their food before I was, she realized what had happened and got it corrected, so my time in the restaurant was about 2 times what it would normally have been, but the food was good. I do wish that they offered a little something extra for the extended time, but I'm not mad that they didn't. I'll be back in the future, just not running to get here again.“

“By far the best Chinese food around. They concentrate more on carry out and delivery, but you can still eat inside. You will probably be the only one dinning in, and will eat with plastic forks ect, but still can't beat the food quality!“

“Just moved to Hernando and are ate a quick lunch after a day of moving. I ordered the ribeye Hinachi (today 07/08) and it was phenomenal. I snagged a Sapporo while I waited and it was perfect also (clean tap lines and perfect amount of foam meaning correct tap line temperature). The staff was very attentive and extremely kind as well. This will be a definite “go-to” establishment for me in the future !“

“At first, I avoided this restaurant like the plague when I had first ordered a while ago they had my raw sushi sitting out a room temperature and by the time I got there, which I say about 10 minutes away the sushi had turned brown, and I only did it turn brown. It was sitting under a leak in the restaurant. BUT now , I’m under the impression of a new owner and their food quality has doubled ! The sushi no longer tastes like chemicals , the food is fresher and the flavor profile has improved too. I ordered my favorite 3 combo sushi as a last resort because my other place closed earlier but boy was I blown away by the upgrade! The service does need to be a little bit better, the ladies at the desk are a bit snappy but the food is delicious. I am an uncover food reviewer for the Memphis area and my new score on this restaurant is 8/10! ( old score was 2/10)“
