“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

“Thank you Cocozza for such a great time! Your sauce is better than mine and I loved the meatballs. I need recipes lol. That cannoli was the best too. Usually it is so chewy at other restaurants. It was crunchy and creamy perfection. I also recommend the bruschetta and the calamari starters. Your staff was so engaging and they made my birthday so much fun. They took the time to answer questions, even about the restaurant itself and artwork. Very engaging and professional. We will be back because this is now my favorite restaurant!“

“Edit to my previous review: Little Bettie and Wiseacre handled everything promptly and exceptionally well. Came back in tonight and things were much improved! The staff was great, beer was good as always, and the pizza was delicious. I also highly recommend the Gotta Get Up to Get Down Affogato! First Review: I had high expectations and wanted to love this pizza, but this is a far cry from the quality that Hog & Hominy used to provide. We got The Road of Excess and Table 55 pizzas. They were so incredibly salty that they were inedible. I’m not sure if it was the sauce or crust, but the mountain of Parmesan cheese on top was likely a contributing factor. H&H can’t reopen soon enough!“

“The Moxy Memphis is such a fun place to stay. The hotel has a great energy, from the stylish lobby to the comfortable rooms. What really stood out for us though was the service at the bar. “We spent New Years Eve with the amazing people at Loflin. We bought our GA tickets and added a VIP table. We had an amazing time. The Neon Mooners band was just the right vibe for the night. Katie was our server the whole night and she was great. Super attentive and she listened to us talk and talk and talk. Also a huge shout out to Lily the bartender. She was super sweet! We will definitely be back!!“

“As a vegetarian it is so nice to find a slider place with so many vegetarian and vegan options. We tried both the vegan wings and the veggie sliders. I do wish the server had explained a bit more that the egg and pb&j sliders are just that, no vegan meat. Those we probably would have skipped. The vegan chicken slider and veggie burger were great. The wings are a combo of tofu sticks and cauliflower bunches with a kick.“

“This place has a great soul vibe. There are a few styles of true Memphis BBQ and this is one of the classics. There are a handful of experiential BBQ joints in Memphis that you can't compare to other joints because they have an established flavor, but it is all still Memphis. This is one of that handful.
My carnivorous family devoured the pulled pork, chicken, and ribs, while I had the grilled portobello with fresh slaw and lots of custom hot BBQ sauce. I had my pooch, and we enjoyed the fan-cooled, covered, dog-friendly patio, which was comfortable on a 100+ heat index day.
The staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. Lots to see and do in the area. Walkable from pretty much anywhere downtown.“
