“😍 I have loved Red Lobster for over 40 years, but sadly stopped going because the food was getting horrible! HOWEVER!, we went to the NLR location just one last time on the off-chance that maybe, just maybe, they had changed! And, I'm sooooo very glad that I did! It was just wonderful! They are back to being the BEST! The food was exquisite, to say the least! I've always gotten the admirals feast and it did not disappoint! The only bad thing I can say on this trip was that our waiter was not up to par. But, I'm not going to dwell on that. Because, I was so happy that the food was so very good!“

“Ok I'm going to be totally honest. This was really good. I had the chicken wong and catfish filet combo. For the price you get a lot. Everything was seasoned and well fried. Do not under any circumstances cheat yourself by not going here to eat. The service was great and this gentleman knows what good cooking is. It's like your mama made it.“

“My brother and I went for lunch and we both ordered the 3 piece catfish dinner. The fish was fresh and hot, as were the fries and delicious hush puppies. I love that they offer sliced onions and tomato relish with your meal also. The service was prompt and extremely friendly. Our waitress never let our tea glasses get more than half empty.“

“We booked a “graduation party package” and everything looked and tasted great! The scheduling and communication were prompt and helpful. They set everything up in our home so I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was delicious - especially the smoked chicken and queso! I’d definitely hire them again.“

The gentleman who helped me and the young lady at the register around 1 PM were both wonderful. As long as this summer craving sticks around, this will definitely be my place to get it. “This place was once upon a time a hidden jewel. I visited this place regularly for years with exceptional service and quality of food. I made the recommendation to eat here to many of my out of town colleges, though I haven’t been there in a while. I recently had lunch with friends and was dissatisfied with the food and service. A shrimp poor boy should have more than 2 shrimp, and the sandwich was dry.“

“Food is EXCELLENT! And can't get oysters at home (El Dorado) - so I get fried every trip to LR - sometimes a basket, sometimes a poboy. Red beans are delicious also! And if I'm feeling fancy, I get some on the half shell... The people who come with me love the fried shrimp and the smoked fish dip. They also recommend the woodgrilled and oysters Rockefeller. Onion rings to die for. Waitstaff is kind, friendly, and PATIENT ♥️“

“Fabulous dinner experience on a Friday evening! Service was phenomenal & the food was outstanding. Matthew (our server) was friendly and accommodating, and was able to make a few recommendations.
I had the butternut squash zuppa and the Chef’s Special 8oz elk cut (from New Zealand), cooked rare, served with seasons veggies (zucchini, carrots). I was tempted to gnaw on the rib bones it was so good!
My wife had the Caesar’s salad & tomato soup, also outstanding. I also had a glass of the Wild Thing Old Vine Zin, it complemented the elk very well.
I would highly recommend making a reservation on the restaurants website before you go, it was decently busy when we got there at 7:30pm on a Friday evening the day after New Year’s Day..“
“I heard this place is legendary in Little Rock so I went and got why. They serve catfish and buffalo fish ribs that feel like crunchy treasures from Southern history. This diner has serious roots—civil rights leaders used to meet here, and it has that badge of honor from the James Beard people.
I had a plate of catfish hush puppies and coleslaw sat quietly and felt like I was part of something much bigger than fish and grease. Price was modest mood was deep food was memorable.“

“Their Moo Goo Gai Pan at the downtown location is so fresh and tasty that if parking wasn't the problem, it would be dangerous that it is only a 12 minute drive from my house. My granddaughter has dubbed their egg drop soup. the best she has ever eaten. Not only is the food great, but I like their happy hour for coctails too. And the staff is friendly and alert. It's a favorite!“

“All aboard went above and beyond for my little girl tonight! We don’t like coming into restaurants close to close however when we asked if they would be able to seat us without it putting them in a bind 30 minutes before close the cook and waiter/cashier were beyond accommodating and so kind! It was our family’s first time dining at an establishment like this and let me tell you my daughter LOVED every second of it. They were so attentive to us and we tried to be as clean and as quick as possible but they did not rush us by any means and they gave my kiddo the full experience and she just had a blast. She danced and “choo choo’d” her little behind off and ate up her Mac and cheese. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone!!“

“I just moved here from St. Louis. Rode past the truck and the smoke made my cravings kick in. On my may back I stopped by and got a rack of ribs. When I tell you those ribs were on point they were seriously on point. I got them with no sauce just cut. First they were tender as tender can be. Second seasoned to perfection and needed no sauce whatsoever. I ate 3/4 of that slab in one setting. All I can tell you is this is my bbq spot now that im here. Salute to the owner and his grilling skills!“

WOW What a disappointment! 07/07/2025 Today at 1::00 pm went to eat and the doors were locked, no notification anywhere on the building, could see employee working the drive thru but, no attempt to communicate to customers what's going on. So this time as last time I drove across to Captain D's food and service was Great.
Love Long John Silver's but I'll not be back.

“I recently visited a Captain D’s location I hadn’t been to before, and I have to say—it was an outstanding experience from start to finish.
The star of the visit was Shirley, who absolutely radiated kindness, love, and genuine hospitality. She spoke to me, other customers, and her coworkers with such warmth and welcoming energy that it truly elevated the entire atmosphere. It’s rare to encounter someone who makes you feel like family the moment you walk through the door, and Shirley did just that.
As for the food—it was perfectly good. The taste and quality were far beyond what I’ve come to expect from Captain D’s in recent years. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and served just right. This was, hands down, the best meal I’ve had from a Captain D’s in a long time.
Between Shirley’s incredible service and the top-tier food, this visit reminded me why dine-in experiences can be so special. I’ll definitely be returning—and I hope Shirley is there to greet me again.“
