“The food is great, just like your mom use to make. The quantity of food for the price, is over the top. I was surprised when I opened the bag, You definitely get your monies worth. The staff was courteous and the owner took his time to talk to me even though they were busy. The quality of food and the quality of staff is not what I expected from, as the owner said, a “Dive Bar”. It’s our new favorite carry out place!“

“Loved the food, drinks, service, the experience. Food was remarkable: unique combinations of ingredients, appealingly presented, textures, flavors, all outstanding. We especially enjoyed the corn ribs, brussels, corn mash, and pork belly. Meat options plentiful but a vegetarian could be very happy here. Also the cocktails. I always want to enjoy a restaurant’s unique cocktails but usually end up disappointed. We loved Thoughts of Mary Jane (tequila base), Walk on By (a couple of tequilas and yellow chartreuse as primary notes), and a black Manhattan type concoction (name forgotten), with navy strength rum, rye, and other warm notes. Our server was great with the recommendations and keeping our time frame, needing to be put in time for a grizzlies game. All in all, a revelation. Hope this place stands the test of time. Only minor beef: so many ingredients I couldn’t identify. Makes you feel a little foolish when you need to ask about one or more ingredients from every dish or cocktail. Hopefully I learned a thing or two. Oh and remember, eat the corn but not the corn ribs. lol“

“We had Valentines Day reservations at Capriccio Grill in The Peabody and it quickly became apparent that it was a horrible mistake (see Capriccio review). We went to this Flying Saucer location, which I had previous experience with, and it ended up being fantastic! Food and service were great, and live music a bonus. Completely saved Valentines Day for us. Big thanks to the whole staff and band - we will be back anytime we are in town.“

“My girls and I went there last weekend! We loved it there! It was our first time every going and everyone made us feel so welcomed! “I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

“Hu. Roof is located on the 17th top floor of the Hu.Hotel. With no line no wait Sunday late afternoon and was in awe of the unobstructed gorgeous views of the Mississippi River, Hernando Desoto Bridge and rural Arkansas. You can spot the Memphis sign and Mississippi Riverwalk from up here. The Watermelon Rancher cocktail is pure blissful liquid Jolly Rancher. Recommend the sweet tooth order this drink! The DJ rocked out hip oldies and tunes that will get you feeling the perfect carefree vibe.“

“The owners are just amazing. Mary walks around and interacts with everyone letting them know that everyone is treated as family. Their son Devin helped me with a flat tire one time and advised me on a new haircut!!! I definitely look better after his advice. Chelsea is the bartender and is always ready with prompt service. She once wrestled a possum off of my car for me and then trained him and then housed him because he was an orphan. I wonder how that possum is doing these days? If you want to experience a family atmosphere, this is the place to go. Today we salute you Harvester, thank you.“

“We went before a show at the Orpheum. The location was convenient and the wine was good however the service was incredibly slow and they didn’t seem too packed. The food is so so. The atmosphere is super cute though!!!“

“My wife and I were on a date night in downtown Memphis and stopped at Slider Inn’s outdoor area for beers and burgers and to watch the football game. Food was excellent. I love their French Fries and it’s one of the best burgers in Memphis. Great experience all around.“

“Thank you Cocozza for such a great time! Your sauce is better than mine and I loved the meatballs. I need recipes lol. That cannoli was the best too. Usually it is so chewy at other restaurants. It was crunchy and creamy perfection. I also recommend the bruschetta and the calamari starters. Your staff was so engaging and they made my birthday so much fun. They took the time to answer questions, even about the restaurant itself and artwork. Very engaging and professional. We will be back because this is now my favorite restaurant!“
