“I came to support a group of students earlier this week to celebrate winning king and queen of the school. First of all let me say the staff was very rude to the administration staff. Even though reservations were made and confirmed and they knew in advance that the students were coming they refused to seat our party and denied the reservations ever being made even after being shown the email messages. The female manager asked for us to wait outside of the restaurant being that it was about 42 degrees that day until the limousine arrived to pick the students back up . The children were dressed in their Sunday best with white dresses and the young boys were in tuxedos and were looking forward to having their luncheon that was awarded to them for their hard work at school. I strongly believe that if the students were not all African American and staff as well they would have treated us differently. I will never ever support nor spend money with Majestic Grill again. I was hurt the way they treated these students who worked oh so hard and were looking forward to what was supposed to be a special day to remember.“

“Simply delicious coffee and yummy bagels... This is coming from a New Yorker who has lived in Seattle for a decade, so coffee and bagels are my life-blood. But what blows the tasty breakfast treats and bevies out of the water was the delightful and pleasantly humorous barista who truly brought a smile to my day. A lovely start to a visit in Memphis!“
“Excellent evening, fun band. I don’t typically like craft beer but the Golden is excellent.“

“It’s certainly not the quickest service I’ve ever had, but the ambience is great, and the food was delicious! We had the General Tso cauliflower as an appetizer, then the quinoa burger and two salads.“
“Great brewery, just 5 min away from Memphis down.
They have a good beer selection, including lagers, ipas, american pale ales, etc. plus some souvenirs and accessories on sale.
You can become a member of their group and try exclusive beers.
The area is very family-friendly and pet friendly“

“I ate just about the best BBQ I’ve ever had here!!! The food was out of this world and our server Sharon was the kindest lady! I travel between PA and AR several times a year and I’m dubbing this my ‘must stop for lunch’ spot from now on!!! It’s a little hole in the wall and easy to miss if you’re not looking, but I recommend you look because you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“Ordered a New Yorker, some kind of Soup Which who knows what was in it - it was Luke-warm , meaning it obviously wasn’t temp to proper level - some worker with a Bad attitude asked me how my lunch was ,& I told her terrible… she gets the Owner Lady and now I know where the Bad attitude came from - you have an owner that’s a 5 and expect your workers to be a ten - doesn’t work that way … flys all over the restaurant cause the front door is propped wide-open which I bring up and something about they are moving furniture in and out , which I saw no-one doing - flies all over the front window, I move from the window to a table and they’re all over the Table … the Sandwich had Raw, Purple cabbage on it - the owner called it SLAW - NO, SLAW is a “mixture” of Cabbage in dressing … anyway - the owner doesn’t like criticism one bit - I’m NOT going to tell you a $21 dollar sandwich is good when it’s NOT Could be a nice spot - but might need a New Owner & less flies...“
“Such a nice brewery! And don't be confused (as I was!)... wanted to visit Flyaway Brewery AND High Cotton Brewery? If you're there, you've done it, as they have joined forces! Pretty busy place, so have patience as the friendly staff is busy serving, yummy wings... oh, and GREAT beer! I enjoyed the stout and the Bluewing!! A must-visit!“

“Edit to my previous review: Little Bettie and Wiseacre handled everything promptly and exceptionally well. Came back in tonight and things were much improved! The staff was great, beer was good as always, and the pizza was delicious. I also highly recommend the Gotta Get Up to Get Down Affogato! First Review: I had high expectations and wanted to love this pizza, but this is a far cry from the quality that Hog & Hominy used to provide. We got The Road of Excess and Table 55 pizzas. They were so incredibly salty that they were inedible. I’m not sure if it was the sauce or crust, but the mountain of Parmesan cheese on top was likely a contributing factor. H&H can’t reopen soon enough!“

“We went before a show at the Orpheum. The location was convenient and the wine was good however the service was incredibly slow and they didn’t seem too packed. The food is so so. The atmosphere is super cute though!!!“
“Fantastic brews and digs. must stop for beer lovers“
“The vibe at the Moxy is really unique: pinball machines in the lobby, eclectic and colorful decor, a bar at the check-in desk. The rooms are awesome, really great decor - small as you would expect in a city but the furnishings really maximize the space. The beds are comfortable. I knocked it down one star because as a light sleeper, it was a rough night. Let me clarify, my husband and my son slept great - they can sleep through anything - if you're a deep sleeper, then 10/10 stay here. If you're a light sleeper, I feel like with some preparation you can make this work: a good eye mask (I felt like the room didn't get dark enough) and a good set of ear plugs (the hotel obviously knows that noise is an issue, there is a bucket of earplugs in every elevator vestibule - the ear plugs were okay and incredibly appreciated, but you could probably source a more effective pair). I was awoken at 1am to what sounded like talking and again at 5am. Overall, great property to stay at.“

“This is the restaurant within the Hilton Garden Inn downtown. Our experience was really good. As a large group of about a dozen people, they accommodated us at a single table and somehow even managed to bring out the various menu choices at about the same time for all. And the food was good. We were quite pleased and would happily eat there again when in Memphis.“

“We spent New Years Eve with the amazing people at Loflin. We bought our GA tickets and added a VIP table. We had an amazing time. The Neon Mooners band was just the right vibe for the night. Katie was our server the whole night and she was great. Super attentive and she listened to us talk and talk and talk. Also a huge shout out to Lily the bartender. She was super sweet! We will definitely be back!!“

“My partner (who’s not vegan) and I shared the not beef sliders, buffalo chickn sliders (the only two slider options), and the tofu/cauli wings. We both thought it was all delicious and very filling! Great service and good venue- lots of screens to watch sport on Updated from previous review on 2024-10-22“

“Central BBQ is a busy, buzzing spot — thanks in part to its prime location near the Civil Rights Museum. Expect a bit of a wait to order in, but honestly, you’ll need that time to scout out a table, grab a drink, and settle in.
I went with the starter sampler and wow — this tray was loaded. If I had to rank the hits:
1. Pulled pork sandwich
2. BBQ Nachos
3. Smoked wings
4. Sausage
Massive portions across the board, and the sandwich sizes looked just right for most appetites.
The venue itself is big — lots of space and seating — and the vibe feels more like a Texas BBQ joint than some of the other Memphis spots I’ve visited, which gives it a broad, approachable feel.
Delicious food, unbeatable location, great service, and fair prices. Definitely worth the stop — especially if you’re coming from or heading to the museum next door.“

“I discovered Whey Good while searching for an ideal space to meet a colleague and do some early morning work. This was an incredible experience from the customer service to the coffee and atmosphere. I enjoyed my coffee while listening to an incredible music selection. Don't skip out on this local treasure!“
