6 Best Sushi Bars near Fountain Hills

“Wow! I am thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. We were driving home to Gilbert from Payson and decided to make a pit stop for lunch in Fountain Hills. Sushi sounded like the perfect cuisine after a day of strenuous hiking. First off, this place is absolutely gorgeous. Painted cement floors, large comfy booths, not to mention the beautiful artificial Bonsai tree in the center of the restaurant. Like another reviewer said, I'm not much on fake plants, but this was a nice touch and not too tacky. The service was pretty good, our server Emily checked in on us quite a bit. However, the best part of the experience was the food. I started with the Baked Scallop Dynamite Roll, which was phenomenal. My Dad loved his Lunch Fried Rice with Chicken as well. Surprisingly, the Miso Soup and House Salad we had on the side was delicious as well. Especially that salad, the dressing was to die for. Enough said, we'll be back to Oka for sure.“

“This was an exceptional experience. Using Google maps and looking for a sushi restaurant, came into a outstanding culinary treat. Kay herself is just amazing and the food was next level good. The Miso was amazing, I ordered a second bowl, excellent umami flavor and the mushrooms just took it over the top. The vegetable tempura was so different and wonderful! Shredded Vegetables then tempura fried in the lightest, crispy delight. The salmon nigiri was delicious. I had the hamachi special roll with lovely bursts of flavors and my daughter had the vegi vegi roll which was the most elegant twist on a salad. Tasty and inventive we will definitely be back again!!“

“Delicious food and friendly staff. We just moved to Scottsdale and searching for a good Thai place and this restaurant hit the spot. They had both Thai food and sushi which is great when kids want sushi and the adults want Thai. We had fried tofu, yum, beef pad Thai, yum, green curry, yum, and the kids sushi, perfect for our little one. Definitely coming back, 10/10.“

“Located a mile from the Four Seasons Scottsdale, there aren’t a lot of good options around Troon. SWAN delivers excellent and fresh sushi. Owned by a Japanese couple, they maintain excellent standards and prices are more than fair.

Full bar and Sapporo on draft for $7.

Nice outdoor terrace with plenty of heaters.

Overall, excellent sushi restaurant with other options including miso black cod, noodles and chicken.“

Looking for a good place to eat at McDowell and Power Road in East Mesa, not as big and prominent as a couple of the other big name restaurants there but probably just as good or better. And less crowded, so don't overlook Got Sushi, as they have regular Asian meals besides sushi.“

“Absolutely amazing place! Bring your wallet and your appetite, because the food is absolutely phenomenal.

My server Vivi was attentive, friendly, and awesome, and always checked in on me even during peak dinner rush. I had a hot sake and Asahi while I waited and it was mellowing and pleasant with the comfortable lighting, music and ambience that was heard without being too loud.

As for the food? This may be the most authentic sushi I have ever had in Arizona. Good cuts, incredible fresh flavor. And the special rolls were great! I had the Sunny Beaches and the Z Special, and the blend of fish and non-fish and citrus was a masterful combination.

I will definitely come back here in the near future!“
