“The service was fine. We walked in and directly to a booth without any waiting. This was at 5 on a weeknight. I thought it funny that they weren't busier than they were. We ordered and sat, and sat, and waited. Finally, my husband asked how much longer as it had already been 45 minutes. The waitress said she would go check and came back with our food. Unfortunately, the food was barely warm. The Mac cheese was congealed, and the meat was cold. What a disgusting thing, a cold fat globule in my mouth. My husband complained, and the waitress offered a fresh plate, but by that time, we just wanted to leave. She did get a deduction on our bill. We had 2 appetizers, 2 platters, and water. Still, we paid more than I think was fair and right for a dinner that was not edible.“
“I visited this place multiple time during evening hours. Even though the wait might take awhile it’s still definitely worth it. The customer service is great and the waitresses are always happy to help when you want anything. I ordered a ribeye with a baked potato and a salad. The food came out within 15 minutes and was delicious as usual. I recommend coming to eat here whenever you get the chance for great country style food.“
“Decent BBQ in a distractingly fast-food environment. The food is actually better than I expected, partly because the place feels like a Burger King. Service was really slow, but that was due to understaffing; the two friendly guys running the whole place were working fast and constantly.Weirdly, those were some of the best fresh-cut fries I've ever had, anywhere.“

“I'm a highly sensitive Celiac and did not have any reactions eating here. Most of the menu is gluten free. The food was delicious, we had 5 people in our group, all ordered different things, and everyone loved their food. The owner was great, excellent service. Will be back.“
“Listen!!! Do NOT miss this culinary experience!!! Happened upon this gem tucked nicely in a bustling strip mall and we are sooo glad we did!!! As Chicago natives we are ALWAYS leery of someone claiming THEE city, but Taste My City is IT!!! Soon as we walked in we were transported to the Southside!!!We ordered a bucket of tips, some catfish, shrimp, mac and cheese, green beans, peach cobbler and cake. (I know…greedy) There was not one thing that won’t become a part of our regular rotation. Tender tips, perfect fried seafood…hammercy!!! We got ‘Chicago Style’ wasted!!!Do yourself a favor and grab 3/4 friends and treat yourself! You will NOT regret it!!!“

“My boyfriend and I went here for a romantic dinner. He was really excited to share the experience with me. The menu indicates all you can eat. After the meal we were told there was an additional add-on fee because we had an eaten everything on our plates. There is nothing on the menu that indicated that there would be this additional charge per person, when we asked to take the additional food home, we were told no we would only be charged with it, but couldn’t take it home. It is a very poor customer experience with hidden cost, and I definitely wouldn’t recommend the head manager basically cursed us out the door because we asked questions about this added fee, I definitely do not recommend and will not be going back“
“Honestly was going to take a picture of my meal but it was too good not to dig in. I got the lobster tail and the signature longhorn and it was absolutely amazing The restrooms are clean the atmosphere is very calm and the staff are really nice and they check your table often. Definitely if you want to go to a steakhouse that doesn't have a lot of fat on their steak at all and you get your bang for your buck then you can definitely come here and enjoy a well put together steakhouse for a perfect price.“
“Rudys is generally a really good BBQ place. They have a good sauce and good meats and sides. Every once in a while the moist brisket isn't quite as melt in your mouth as a moist brisket should be. Normally it's good but even so often they don't get it quite right which is why I only have 4 stars in the food. Besides the occasional brisket being a little off everything else has always been good. I also use their rub and BBQ sauce on a lot of my own cooks because they're really good. I do recommend rudys if you haven't had it before.“
