“I've driven by this place plenty of times in the 18 years I've lived in the area, but didn't stop in until three weeks ago. I couldn't stay long, though, because this place only accepts cash. Today I came prepared. I met a friend there at 1pm. We sat outside on the spacious, covered patio while a local band was tuning their instruments, getting ready for showtime. We had our dogs with us, so we sat as far away as we could so that my dogs wouldn't start barking. On Sundays Buddy's Bar offers a potluck meal at 2pm. Dishes are prepared by locals and you pay with donations. Ham, red beans and rice, BBQ chicken wings, corn bread, various salads and desserts were available for several hours. A local band called the Quail Ridge Pickers provided the music. This is a full-service bar. There are five beers on draft here: Budweiser, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, Coors Lite, Dos Equis, all for $3. There are more craft beers in bottles for $3.75 The interior is dark, but this is a popular local watering hole. The customers are regulars. A Christmas tree stood in one corner, ablaze in colorful lights. My one complaint? Whenever I went up to the bar for refills, I got my beer in a plastic cup. When my friend did the same, he came back with glass pints, The glass pints hold at least two extra ounces of beer.“

“Typically a good place to hang out and drink. Plenty of different drinks on tap, and interesting furniture for lounging. The only bad part is some of the staff. There are a few that aren't very attentive or respectful. I've had several instances where I've stood at an empty bar for over 20 minutes before being helped. When getting a growler refilled, make sure to check that it's actually filled. I've had a few now where I've gotten home and it's three to four fingers short, which is quite a bit in those big bottles. Overall a good spot, just be mindful of who's working I suppose.“

“Wonderful atmosphere to hang with friends. Lots of opportunities to listen to live music on the weekends! Bartenders offer amazing, attentive, and friendly service. They don't offer in-house prepared food, but they have food trucks ver frequently, and you can bring other food in or order other food in. Love this place!“

“We visited Sierra Vista on our way from Las Cruces, NM to Prescott, AZ. We found the Horned Toad by accident. It was one of the best finds we've ever made. The bartender and clientele were lots of fun. Everyone was so nice. The beer and Brats, were excellent. We will definitely go back on our next trip.“

“Visited during a quiet evening over Memorial Day weekend. About 6 folks there including my bf and I. Chatted mainly with Linda, a sweet Korean lady, who told me about her kids, when she came to the States, and a little bit about her business. During the evening, she diffused an argument between two guys as well. Drinks were simple. She was attentive. The atmosphere was chill.“

“Great, friendly service! Appetizers came out with most of the meals. Only one person waited a little longer for their meal. I am a slow eater so it was good that mine came out early. The calamari was good, but started cooling off too quickly (much better hot, and eaten first), since we were trying to eat our entrees while they were hot, First time that has happened, but we went at 5pm so they weren't busy..... The Pho is very tasty!“
