“A hole in the wall, kind of smelly, but the food is fresh, well cooked and very tasty. It was solid hangover cure food, even though I didn’t have a hangover, ha ha. The counter girl was so pleasant and efficient, I felt like she needs to be given some special opportunity in life; I wish her well. Looks like a popular place with locals.“

“Justine was AMAZING!! She educated our entire group on the history of the building AND helped us navigate how amazing the menu was. We took all of her recommendations and basically ordered half the menu. Every. Single. Item. Deserves 10 stars. So much protein and every flavor was complex and had depth. Obsessed and can't wait to come back. The chipotle cherry steak taco took us all by surprise. Might move to Arizona just for Taco Guild!“

“Girl and I got bites ramen and the birria tacos. The tacos were top notch! Borderline addictive. Birria ramen was good, but have had better. Awesome service. Super friendly guy. Hooked it up with free sodas, too. Little on the spendy side for a truck. Will go back for the birria tacos. 🤤“

“First time trying this place that we been wanting to try for years . First impression it was small no one greeted no signs on where to pick up or order but common sense with the little cashier window . But other than that the food was great . I don’t like Al pastor tacos but at this place I did ! Tripas hands down my favorite I have had it was perfect . Lengua was under seasoned needed more flavor . Chicken tacos were dry . Asada was pretty good too ! Will definitely have more trips and al pastor for sure !“

“I’ve been vegan for almost 12 years. Slowly there have been restaurants that are plant based, but I’ve never found good vegan Mexican food, until now. A colleague and I ordered here and we’re absolutely amazed at how delicious and fresh it was!!! She’s carnivore and loved it. I’ve found a new favorite spot for sure!“

“Tried it for the first time. Al pastor tacos we're kinda good, although the good part is that they serve them with a lot of pineapple if wanted. The asada and the cabeza (beef) were lacking flavor. Prices are a little high but not exaggerated. The place is nice, clean and very spacious. They also have outside seating. Plenty of parking“

I believe customer service is just as important as the food and my boyfriend and I were welcomed on our first visit, & welcomed back on 2nd and 3rd with “welcome back nice to see you”. “Never been to Phoenix area before and wanted to find a very local authentic restaurant. We found it....Cocina Madrigal was exactly what we were looking for...We actually sat at the bar since there was a short wait for a table. I was here with a college friend who lived out of the state also. We thoroughly enjoyed the food. We had the combination Taco/Burros/Tamales/Enchiladas...Our gracious bartend/waitress suggested the perfect way they should be prepared. All the employees were very friendly and make you feel incredibly welcomed. Highly recommend and we will return when we are traveling through Phoenix..“

“I'ma start by saying I don't speak Spanish so I wasn't sure what some of the menu items were but the staff was very nice and explained, the prices were pretty decent considering this economy. And now the food, it was so good I'd give it 7 stars if I could. The restaurant itself is not too loud and clean. The staff and the food were out of this world great though. That al pastor they make is elite!“

“I came in for the first time yesterday and I was very pleasantly surprised by just how delicious the food was. Everything is made fresh to order, and full of flavor. I also want to say, they have their proportions absolutely perfect. Many Mexican sushi fusion places like to use way too much rice or fatty meat that's harder to chew but these guys use only the most tender and flavorful pieces of meat and their attention to detail and quality should not be overlooked. I think I spent a little more money than I had expected to going into it, but to be honest it was definitely worth it. They give you a lot of food for the price and the portions along with the amazing flavors and craftsmanship make this place a 10/10. Could not stress enough that you should pop in and try the food. There's no way you'll be disappointed
Kid-friendliness: They're very polite and address the kids, and give samples. My son (14 month old) got to try some of the juice and he loved it, couldn't get enough of it“
