“The Keg is my favorite restaurant, whether in Oro Valley (Tucson) or when I'm traveling in Canada. I've been to a half dozen outlets. The best part is the staff. Attentive without being overbearing. Only issue is that they don't offer the Prime Rib rare. I can deal with that. Good wine list too. Save room (if you can) for desert.“

“Pretty Pricey but great place to come and watch a game, especially if you live in the Oro Vista Apartments behind them, and all the other establishments that are around too. Great little area, and also if you research a bit, or see our reviews on here, there a couple of healthy Pizza places and will allow you to take Beer Growlers home. All around, love the area, if you're visiting, don't be afraid to ask. I am in the area and would be glad to show people around who want to have a good time! Just want to provide accurate information, and correct information. I've been in other cities before in California to South Carolina, and they've all helped me and in San Diego once, actually, offered to come along to see what I thought of Lagunitas brewery in SD. But that's another story.
So please, contact me or anyone you want and we can get let you know if there are specials or if they provide coupons online for Nobel Hops.
It's time we start to help alllll of our fellow men and women, get accurate information on local or even helping other folks with questions about locations, and for other future questions, and to all the Foodies out there. The local and great businesses out here are just getting starting! Let me know if you like, approve some of these places. Please enjoy and be safe Foodies and enjoyers of traveling the U.S. We always welcome everyone and everyone! Noble Hops is awesome! Take care everyone in these hectic times. ✌🏽❤️🙏🏽“

“This bar is killer and Tuesday night karaoke with Jarrell is my whole religion right now. I keep telling the bar staff, so I’m telling the public - LOUIE’S KARAOKE IS THE BEST KARAOKE IN THE WORLD, and I was a host for 10 years. If you come because of my review, say hi! I’ll be there every Tuesday until machines take over the world, and then some. Thank you!!“

“Love this place! Neighborhood restaurant!“
“Great spot w/ good food & camaraderie. It’s the customers & a few good barkeeps that keep it going. The GM has no interest in getting it back to the money maker it was in 2019.The Sunday b4 Christmas and it’s closed when at least 30 ppl wanted to go. Sad“
“Please be advised that E. River Bar inside the Whole Foods market at Craycroft and River Road will be closing after Nov 3! We went for burgers and beer last night and saw this sign at the bar. Regulars at the bar said the sign went up about a week ago. Servers behind the bar said corporate did not give a reason for this closure. The burger and beer were excellent as usual. Just to be clear this little gem of a pub is the HEART AND SOUL of this Whole Foods. All the regular customers at the bar last night are heartbroken. Some have been regulars since it opened over 5 years ago, and said first they cut the menu items, then they cut the days/hours to 3 days/week and now this. We can only guess that corporate will fill this space with flip flops and t-shirts or worse expand the Amazon package pick up in this space. What a waste of space. There are few quality spots like this in this NE area of Tucson.“

“Best little dive bar. It's very much a shot and a beer place but the bartenders do their best to accommodate orders.“
“If you work in the service industry or want to rub shoulders with those that do, Danny's is the place for you. The staff is funny, witty, snarky, sassy, kind, and honest. Just remember rule number one, don't be an impatient jerk and TIP YOUR BARTENDERS! It's one of the best dives in town for good reason. Cheap drinks, fun times, sarcasm, great jukebox, and a place where everyone knows your name makes Danny's the best neighborhood dive you've been looking for. With a back patio, pool tables, airhockey, darts, shuffle board, food trucks, and multiple TV's with classic movies and sports makes this dimly lit dive a perfect place to unwind after a long day or get a night of bar hopping rolling.
PS
Just be an adult and be nice, it's easy.“

“Outrageous! Last night we were enjoying ourselves at Brodies with our friend from England. We were called drunks by bartender Jeff. We couldn't believe his disrespect toward us, especially because none of us were drunk. We come at least twice a week, and Brody's is our favorite bar. We hope this will not happen again. Thank you.“

“It’s been 13 years since I last dined at the Flying V Bar & Grill at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort in Tucson, and my recent return was both a nostalgic trip and a delightful rediscovery. The restaurant’s ambiance has only become more spectacular over time—walk through the elegant wooden doors and you’re greeted by a warm, Southwestern-inspired interior, with rustic wooden beams, earth-toned walls, and glowing pendant lights that create an inviting lodge-like feel. Just beyond lies the terraced deck, where you can sip your cocktails while gazing out over a serene lake, the well-manicured golf course, and the breathtaking Catalina Mountains and the Tucson city lights in the distance. It’s a magical setting that showcases the desert’s natural beauty in all its twilight glory.
We began our evening with two signature cocktails: the PICANTE COWBOY and the CROWN JEWEL. The PICANTE COWBOY—featuring Maker’s Mark, Ancho Reyes Verde, ginger agave, lemon, and hellfire bitters—offered a bold, smoky flair underpinned by a subtle peppery kick. The ginger agave added a pleasant sweetness, balancing the tang of the lemon and spice from the bitters perfectly. Meanwhile, the CROWN JEWEL—mixed with Patron Reposado, pineapple turbinado, and orange bitters—delivered a tropical fruitiness that was neither saccharine nor overpowering. Both drinks were impeccably balanced and showcased thoughtful mixology, though at a premium price point. Sipping these alongside a basket of fresh artisan bread and a luxuriously whipped butter “concoction” felt like a quintessential Southwest indulgence.
For dinner, we shared the GRILLED PRAWNS—a dish composed of leche de tigre, cucumber, serrano, coconut milk, cilantro, and confit squash. The flavors dazzled with their bright acidity, creamy coconut undertones, and fresh herbal notes. My only critique was the portion—three sizable prawns made it awkward to share, and we found ourselves playfully vying for the “odd one out.” Moving on to our main course, we opted for the CHILEAN SEABASS. Presented in a pool of walnut consommé with kabocha squash and a dusting of pistachio matcha, the fish was expertly cooked to a buttery, flaky finish, seasoned just enough to enhance without overwhelming its natural richness. Curiously, both dishes arrived with the same slice of undercooked squash. While flavorful in theory, the squash’s firm texture left parts of it inedible. It was a minor misstep but noticeable given the otherwise refined execution of the plates.
Service throughout the evening was prompt, friendly, and knowledgeable—servers appeared at just the right moments, kept our glasses filled, and were eager to answer any questions. The romantic atmosphere, panoramic views, and the warm glow from the interior’s rustic décor all contributed to a memorable night.
Though portion sizes were on the modest side—particularly for the price—the overall experience of dining at the Flying V Bar & Grill remains elevated by the quality of the cuisine, the captivating setting, and the attentive service. After 13 years away, I’m delighted to report that Flying V continues to shine as one of Tucson’s most distinctive and enjoyable dining venues.

“My husband and I were happy to get a same day reservation. We were seated at a lovely and comfortable booth in the dining room. Within seconds we realized that the live music sound level was way too loud for us, so we asked to be seated elsewhere and were cheerfully re-seated at a table out on the covered patio. It was a beautiful evening and the view of the city of Tucson in the distance was excellent. Food and drink was delicious! My husband had the special which was prime rib. It was a healthy portion and came prepared how he had requested. Along with the prime rib was a salad and a loaded baked potato, he enjoyed both. I had the ‘Summer Salad' which was super fresh with a delicious Rasberry vinaigrette. It was filling and so tasty! We also enjoyed a red sangria and a margarita from the bar. Both were very good, not the dreaded sugar bomb you often get elsewhere. I should mention that the cost was fair. We enjoyed this meal and look forward to going back.“

“njoyable rustic southwestern ranch ambience and friendly service. The prime rib was very good. It was evenly roasted, moist and flavorful. That said, there were some detractions from the overall dining experience, ones that are easily fixed, low cost and big pay off to the restaurant and diners. See below.
- Warm the rolls served and ensure they are moist
- Ensure the lettuce in the salad is leafy and green, not just stems
- Don't over thin the salad dressing
- Warm the entree plates
- Wait staff needs to ensure the add-ons and sides are hot when served
- Lastly, the wine list was good, but have a high-end whiskey list. True lovers of great beef also like comparably great whiskeys, particularly out west. This would be a plus to the overall experience and profitable.“
