So I had heard since I moved back here in 22 tod El corral wasn't the place it used to be. Friend and I went there for dinner recently. Service was warm. Friendly food was great. The prime rib was excellent. The decor is a bit outdated, but some probably tell you that's what they're attracted to.
It had been at least ten years since I previously visited El Corral and now I am wondering why it took me so long to return. I don't eat a lot of beef so I was very happy to try their salmon and it was fantastic. The serving portion was large with a wonderful flavor. The entree included a nice salad and one side. El Corral offers a rustic southwestern ranch ambiance with friendly service and tasty dishes. The prime rib is their specialty, described as very good, evenly roasted, moist, flavorful, and perfectly medium rare. The T-bone steak is cooked well, and the ribs fall off the bone. The restaurant has a long history, and many customers return, noting that everything remains great today. The atmosphere is perfect to bring you back to the days of the Old West. They can handle large parties and have been doing this a long time. The entrance has a steep ramp, and there is no warning sign or rail to prevent falls, which is concerning given the number of elders who dine there. Despite this, El Corral remains a beloved spot for delicious food and friendly service.
