Tweedle drink with Kava! My fave!
Fun evening alternative to getting hammered. I had never had kava before and the bartend*? tearista*? Kavacaptain was very helpful in guiding me to something delicious. I enjoyed the open mic music on Tuesday night and my drinks!
Three years ago I walked away from another Mad Hatter location convinced I would never step into one again. It wasn’t the kava that stayed with me—it was the feeling that community had disappeared from a place that had once inspired me.

Mad Hatter Kava is a really cool and great spot in Ahwatukee with a super welcoming atmosphere. The vibe is relaxing, inviting, and chill, offering a sober friendly environment as opposed to a traditional bar. The place feels alive with creative touches everywhere, fun decor, and lighting that draws you in. It has a great community where you can meet lots of great people.
The staff is incredibly helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and personable, providing great customer service. They are always nice and glad you walked through the door, making you feel right at home. They expertly explain the concept of Kava and Kratom and break down the different ways the drinks might affect you.
The high quality products are solid, smooth, rich, and packed with flavor. It is a place you will want to come back to again and again. Definitely worth checking out.
