“My wife had noticed the restaurant opened in our neighborhood (40th St. and Bell Road) a few months ago and we finally went for lunch 3/17.Incredible.She had the borscht and pelmeni sampler. I had a cup of solyanka and the vareniki, sauerkraut and sausage combo. We traded bites, and both loved everything. (At our server's recommendation, I mixed the regular mustard with the 'kraut and used the extra hot mustard on the sausage. It was perfect.)It was the best borscht I have ever had, very rich and flavorful without being at all heavy or overly earthy. Both the soups were light and rich at the same time and exploded with fresh, clean flavors.Everything was freshly made and perfectly cooked.Our server, Patrick, was very personable, knew the menu top to bottom and made great suggestions when asked for input.For dessert we split a (generous!) slice of honey cake that was so light, airy and multi-flavored that I would have gladly eaten more until I'd made myself sick.The portions are hearty but not overwhelming. The room is clean and well-kempt. The staff is friendly and attentive without being smothering and the food is the best Eastern European food I've had in a very long time.We will be going back often.“

“Stumbled upon this place a while back when waiting on my pizza from a few doors down. Wow! What a find!Initially it looks minimally stocked but I was given a few samples of sausages and fell in love. I haven’t had a sausage from there I didn’t like and the pierogis are amazing! Gonna need to get a deli sandwich sometime.. I’ve been back many times and will keep coming“
“From the veal soup to the slow cooked lamb shank, everything is made from scratch. You can taste the authenticity. The pita bread is unlike any other and perfect with the Cevapi sausages and roasted red pepper sauce....our favorite. And don't forget to try a freshly prepared dessert or two. On our last visit, we were served after the noontime rush and the owner had a moment to sit and visit at our mostly Croation table. She shared with us her passion for creating these dishes and explained how it truly comes from her heart. This is a small family-owned business (she proudly introduced her grandson, son, and daughter-in-law) and exactly the kind of restaurant we enjoy supporting. We highly recommend one of our favorite dining experiences in Phoenix!“
