I have been a frequent guest over the past 6 years but can no longer go on weekends as for some god awful reason they have decided to have DJ’s. “Pulled in before a long workday, just needed a proper breakfast — nothing fancy, just something solid to start the day. Reviews around were strong, so I figured this would be an easy win.

Walk in… and yeah, first impression looks good. Clean design, bright space, nice energy. Feels like a place that should deliver.

But then it kinda started slipping.

Stood at the entrance for a minute or two while the hosts were talking to each other. Not a huge deal, but you notice it. Then I get seated — and the table’s not really clean. Crumbs, some random residue, even salt scattered around. Seat wasn’t clean either. Small things, but it throws you off right away.

Now, service — completely different story. My server was great. Water showed up immediately, no questions. Super chill, patient while I was deciding. That part felt right.

Ordered a caramel latte and a crispy chicken steak with scrambled eggs.

Coffee — no complaints at all. Smooth, balanced, actually really good. You can tell they care about that part.

Food though… yeah, not gonna lie, that’s where it lost me.

Toast came out burnt on one side. Not “a little crispy” — actually burnt. And it’s just bread… takes seconds to redo. Chicken was crispy, but more like overdone. Texture felt off. Eggs looked fine, but taste-wise just flat. No seasoning, nothing that makes you want another bite.

And that’s the thing — breakfast is simple. When the basics don’t hit, the rest doesn’t really matter.

Place has potential, for sure. Good concept, strong service, great coffee. But the kitchen and cleanliness need attention.

I don’t regret stopping by, but I wouldn’t come back. Next time I’m in Phoenix, I’ll try somewhere else.“

“Brunch with Mrs. V. @ one of our fave brunch eateries in downtown Gilbert. Frannie ordered the Chili Verde Benedict which she described as absolutely amazingly. I ordered Juan’s Breakfast Tacos (My go to) which had flavor for days. A beautiful Fall day, 85° and sunny, provided perfect weather for outdoor seating. Our server, Camille, was extraordinarily friendly, and engaging. The GM, Mariam visited our table and presented us with a complimentary cinnamon roll pancake (off their “secret” menu) courtesy of Camille, which was incredibly thoughtful and delicious. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!“

“Category: Gastropub. This casual dining street-level little sister of the hilltop fine dining “Different Point of View” at the Pointe Hilton is one of the only bright spots in what is otherwise a bleak Moon Valley restaurant scene. It’s also open to a respectable hour (10p), which means we can arrive at 8p (our normal dinner hour) and enjoy our meal in the company of other humans (this is unlike almost any other restaurant in the area). We have only dined at the bar, which is one of the most beautiful I have seen anywhere: lots and lots of dark wood, heavy paneling, Corinthian-esque/Ionic wooden capitals supporting the arches over the bar, above which the complex, uniquely beamed and coffered ceiling soars. The marble bar is oval shaped, enabling us to people watch across the bar. Wooden arches over shelves of colorful liquor bottles separate one side of the bar from the other. A few hightops border the bar area, which rises above the sunken dining rooms on either side. One of the beautiful lower dining rooms has a permanent buffet station that’s probably used for breakfasts, brunches, and parties. Several booths, tables, and a large fireplace complete the room. The other dining room is even more impressive. The wine list offers several reds below $50 (our sweet spot for restaurant wines). The menu is solidly gastropub: wings (excellent), creative salads, sandwiches, burgers, and tacos, and a few mains (we like the Fish & Chips), all of which are reasonably priced.
