“Great menu. Fresh crisp lettuce in the very large salads. Great atmosphere. With the exception of the girl who took our order, everyone else gave exceptional service. I will be going back many times.“

“Came in today for ice cream. The place was a zoo! The young ladies running the counter were polite and very efficient! And I appreciated them being kind enough to get another scoop for my gluten free ice cream without even asking! The ice cream is DELICIOUS and you can tell it’s homemade! They also have several gluten free pastries and desserts as well. Great job and I highly recommend this place.“

“In town visiting family, came in here after a great experience first trip to get 4 coffees for the family. Mike greeted us, and within 5 seconds of looking at the menu said "I'm here until 5, and there's a line of people behind you. LETS GO". We started ordering immediately, and got a VERY visible eyeroll with each order. The "line of people" hadn't entered the building, was only three people and we had been at the counter at this point less than 30 seconds. We chose to walk out at this point. Sad that I had to write this, but the experience we just had was shockingly bad. Hopefully Mike's day gets better.“

“We really like the place. The portions and are great. Service is friendly. Quality, in my opinion, is as good or better than the extremely popular diner across the street… but not nearly as crowded or overhyped.“

“We love this Red Devil!
It’s become a bit of a tradition to have dinner or lunch at this Red Devil whenever we find ourselves in Pinetop, because the experience has been consistently great.
Versus other places in the near vicinity have been… let’s say mixed.
I like how the interior is nice, yet still modest and quaint. It’s not trying too hard to be modern, nor old-timey. It’s just comfortably modest and well-kept.
Waiters have always been courteous and responsive. Whoever is in charge of hiring decisions knows what they’re doing!
When we were there last weekend our greeter went above and beyond.
Food is consistently great, never had a complaint.
The prices are also quite reasonable for what this is.
The only thing I could possibly complain about is that it can be a pain to drive in and out of, due to it requiring a left turn (if you’re coming south/eastbound) right after a traffic light, so you can’t legally sit in the center lane to wait for a clearing, and there’s only one way in and out. But there’s not much the restaurant can do about this, as this is by virtue of Pinetop being a small town that’s built on one big highway stroad, with all properties being siloed from each other.
Just a warning to those wanting to come here I guess. Probably best you go down a bit further and make a U-turn.“

“Love this place. Best Mexican food on the Mtn.“
“I unfortunately had a very negative experience here. After eating the food, I experienced severe diarrhea all night. I hope the restaurant takes food safety and hygiene more seriously, as this was extremely unpleasant. I experienced severe stomach pain and diarrhea throughout the night, which completely ruined our trip. I believe this indicates a serious issue with food safety or preparation, and I hope you will address this promptly to prevent this from happening to other customers. I would appreciate a response regarding how this matter will be handled. I DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE**“

“We do recommend El Patron but we had a bad experience recently. My wife and I picked up an order to go consisting of Chicken flautas and Enchilada a La Crema chicken. We had to throw everything in the trash because the entire order tasted like fish. It was absolutely disgusting and very disappointing because we have had good food there before. In fact, El Patron is normally our go to in Pinetop. Luckily, we only ate a small amount and did not get sick.“
