“This establishment was recommended by my older sisters, and I must say it is my preferred Chinese restaurant. Their puffs are exceptionally delectable; while most places I have tried are bitter and salty, these puffs are pleasantly sweet. I also highly recommend their egg flower drop soup, which has a rich and flavorful taste. I typically add chili oil to enhance the flavor. Although the server or cashier may appear boisterous, this is often due to communication difficulties. Do not interpret this as impatience; they are highly organized and attentive. The ambiance is relaxed and serene.“

“Great food! However, if you get chicken lettuce wraps to go, beware that the tiny crunchy rice noodles (I think that's what they are) will turn to mush under the wet iceberg lettuce. I tried re-crunching them in a frying pan on the stove, but that didn't work very well (they stick together).“

“We had a craving today and went on an adventure to find something new. Chinese food is so hit or miss in the areas nearby. When we walked in to Tasty Asian Kitchen it was pretty empty, but slowly filled with families and quite a few to go orders. Our server was wonderful and greeted us right away. So people complained of service here in other reviews, but we had no problem our entire time here. The menu has so many great options and it was hard to choose. We settled on a pu pu platter and the happy family which we would share. The only thing I didn’t care for was the fried wonton out of the pu pu platter. The happy family portion was huge and more than enough for two. Rice portion was a bit small but we made it work. They only offer bottled soda here, some alcohol options as well as so teas. Prices were fair for size. Parking was a breeze. With easy ins and pits to the street and parking plenty of parking nearby.“

“I just wanna know a couple things is that I think the cooks they fry the appetizers first before they cook the food because every time I take an appetizer to go along with my food it’s barely warm. I don’t recommend getting the eggrolls. The eggroll paper was fried on the outside of the inside was raw and chewy. I’ve only gone to this place twice in the first time I ordered broccoli beef. I personally wouldn’t order beef again. It kinda tasted strange.
The second time I ordered broccoli, shrimp and I don’t have any complaints with that They are food is really hot when I eat it.
I’m just sad because they didn’t put a fortune cookie or almond cookie in my bag this time when I got takeout.
I am gonna say the food is quite expensive. It was Almost $50 just for shrimp broccoli with extra broccoli and two egg eggrolls.. That’s just crazy to me.“

“This place is a Phoenix treasure. This restaurant has been around forever. There used to be a few other locations but this is the last one around. This is 1980’s-90’s style American style Chinese food. They make a sweet and sour pork that will not find at any other Chinese restaurant in the valley.

My parents moved us to Phoenix in 1987. My first memory of having this kind of sweet and sour port was at a south China buffet that was located on 19th Ave and Northern. We went there often since we lived just down the street. Then when they closed and we moved to 29th Ave and Northern we found the May Garden location on Grand and 83rd Ave. They closed and we had moved to 19th Ave and Beardsley and we found this style of sweet and sour pork at the China in on 19th Ave and Bell. After they closed I found a restaurant on 43rd and Dunlap that made this style of Orange chicken. There have been a few other restaurants over the years but May Garden on 59th and Indian-school road is the last one standing.

If anyone knows of another restaurant in the valley that makes Sweet and sour pork like this please let me know. I hope more places will make it like this. It’s just so nostalgic for me.

“I have visited many buffets in Phoenix and other states. But this. One detail stands out. IT HAS A KITCHEN OR IRON. They have a raw food preparation area. Each person grabs the foods they like to cook on the grill. And a person at the grill cooks them. After a few minutes they give you your plate already cooked with the food you collected. This detail is very pleasant and makes it special. After that detail. It's a good buffet. Variety. Flavor. Comfort. Parking. And it doesn't seem expensive to me. Rather, I think it's fair.

But the rice is to die for as well as the noodles and BBQ chicken!!!! So bomb I love everything on the limited menu just wish it was closer!!!! But delicious food is always worth it. The prices may be alittle higher then other locations but if you cant spare $15 bucks then why are you in a casino? Portions are big and the different choices I tried were all good. My sister ordered the honey walnut shrimp, and it was hot, crispy, great flavor balance, and large pieces of shrimp. I ordered the mapo tofu and I’m not exaggerating when I say that it was probably the best mapo tofu I’ve had. I’m from Seattle where there’s a lot of really great Asian food in general, and have had mapo Tofu from a lot of places there. However, this is the most flavorful and balanced mapo tofu I’ve had. I could really taste the garlic and spices, but was not too spicy and did not over power the actual taste of the tofu itself either. Both of the dishes we got had large portion sizes. Probably could have shared, but honestly it was so good that I didn’t want to.
