Great atmosphere and tasty food
So good! Amazing every time!

Came in looking for vegan options and was happy to see them clearly marked with a leaf icon on the menu. They offer seaweed edamame as an appetizer, two vegan ramen options, a vegetable tempura rice bowl, and one vegan sushi roll. I went with the vegetable tempura rice bowl. The tempura itself was really good—nice balance of sweet and salty. The bowl was pretty rice-heavy though, and I would’ve liked more vegetables. Outdoor seating is nice but it’s right...read full review

KUKAI is a delightful restaurant serving delicious sushi, ramen, and katsu chicken curry. The menu is simple but full of delicious apps and noodles. The fresh salmon and eel sauce sushi was a favorite, while the broth for the ramen was top-notch. The spicy vegan ramen is BOMB, and the Tonkutsu ramen was loved. Many enjoy the onigiri, which is made fresh and well-seasoned. The bluefin tuna hand roll was delicious, as was the Mt. Fuji Don, loaded with spicy tuna, avocado, and some crunchies. The salmon bowl is a favorite for many. The staff is friendly, and the area is lovely, with cute shops and a farmers market nearby. Seating can be challenging, especially on Friday and Saturday, as it is mostly outdoors and can be crowded. The MSA Annex features several delicious food and drink options and is perfect for families and groups. The takeout window is cute at the Annex, with tables right in front and around to eat dinner with a covering. The menu is extensive, and the sushi rolls are good. Takoyaki, katsu rice, and noodle soup were also enjoyed. Despite a wait during busy hours, exploring the shops in the complex made the visit enjoyable, and the food was flavorful.
