Ume Asian and Sushi Reviews
Reading through the reviews and I am a bit confused. Maybe some haters, local guides who want to sound cool? I can't vouch for any other meal here, but I have had the Mongolian Beef 30 plus times and only once was it bad.
It does need the chili oil to make the flavor pop, but why would you eat it with out that?
This is Chinese and Japanese restaurant. We were looking forward to some good Asian cuisine and we were sadly disappointed with the food. It truly was awful! We had the hot and sour soup which was just very salty then we had the General Tso’s chicken that was flavorless and looked terrible as well along with the fried rice. And then our appetizer of Vegetable and Shrimp tempura came out last and it was the worst tempura I’ve had. The breading was not the traditional panko....read full review
Went here for my actual birthday dinner since the steakhouse was closed on Sundays (we did the steakhouse the night before). Food was solid and service was okay. It wasn't really where I wanted to celebrate, but it was the only on-premises choice besides the diner. I was surprised no dessert was offered for a birthday celebration.

Ume Asian and Sushi offers a diverse dining experience, with both positive and negative reviews. The service quality can be inconsistent, as some guests praise the exceptional customer service from the staff, while others find it lacking. The food quality is also variable; while dishes like the pork ribs and unagi receive praise, others such as the shrimp roll and orange chicken are criticized for being bland or overcooked. The restaurant provides reasonable prices, especially compared to other sushi spots in the area. However, some reviewers express concerns about portion sizes and consistency, which makes them hesitant to return. The sushi rolls are not always made with the highest quality technique, and the fish may not be sliced thin enough. On the other hand, the Pad Thai is described as very flavorful, and the overall atmosphere and prices, including military discounts, are well-received. The restaurant seems to have the potential to deliver a reliable dining experience, but it continues to work on improving its consistency.
