Wow! The dry mixed beef noodles with pickled chili were incredible! We came at 7 pm just when many of the restaurants in the food court were closing up for the day. After being denied service at a dim sum counter, we hurriedly looked around and picked Chef Rong Noodle House at random. I’m so glad we picked them.

Chef Rong Noodle House serves authentic Guizhou flavors, with noodles that are tender and flavorful. The homemade suan tang beef noodle soup is a highlight, transporting customers back to Guizhou. The beef is soft and rotten, with 5 big pieces, and the sour soup is not vinegar but Guizhou’s unique sour soup. The menu offers a range of spice levels, from mild to spicy, and the fat intestine rice noodles come with good fat intestine and dried tofu. Some customers found the soup base’s sour taste not very authentic, more like Tom Yum Kung, while others thought the beef noodle soup was a bit salty but overall okay. The noodles are the star of the show, with a perfect balance of softness and texture. For added spice, the restaurant offers extra chili oil with crispy chili bits. Note that the restaurant operates with a $10 deposit per bowl, which can be reclaimed by returning the bowl after the meal. Cheap and good quality, it’s worth recommending for those craving authentic Guizhou flavors and delicious noodles. However, the service could use improvement, as some staff were inattentive and unfriendly.
