“Ask for Gabi - Registered Holistic Nutritionist. Also a believer in Christ as I am. Very personable and loves to help people.

I was interested in some vitamins and probiotics. She took the time to compare ingredients to the existing empty containers that I had brought in from high grade products that I was using through Biological Analysis and gave me comparable suggestions.

She was able to look at my face and recognized I had more wrinkles on my forehead and bags under my eyes than usual. She suggested a concentrated mineral extract for the wrinkles and a colon cleanse accompanied with flush out for the bags under my eyes. Suggested the colon cleanse to be done after the holiday season since there are more foods this time of year we would not otherwise eat.

I was very appreciative of her feedback and did not take offence. To me it seemed like a free session from a very informative naturalpath. Didn’t try to sell me on products I didn’t need. She will be my go-to for the foreseeable future.

“We had lunch at the Cactus Club today April 12, 2022. The location is great because parking is not a problem. Food was amazing and our server, Raeya, was outstanding. She greeted us with a most beautiful smile and warm welcome. Service was consistently good throughout the meal and Raeya was readily available. ““You have to eat here!”... This restaurant is a hidden gem in the Okanagan. Firstly our server, a lovely lady named Rae, was the most charming and lovely ambassador for the students who really made our evening. When our friend found out that the restaurant does not allow tips he exclaimed, “ Why are you being so nice to us?”... Rae explained that the restaurant exists to exemplify dining excellence and she was so happy to help us enjoy the hard work all the students had put in to give us a first class experience. The food they provided was absolutely delicious and presented beautifully and the only surprise was that the cost of the meal was so low. $60 for three courses is an absolute steal for food of this quality! Well done students, well done Okanagan College and well done Rae! We will be sure to return soon. Thank you!“

“We had a wonderful late lunch at Helmut's in Vernon. The sandwiches and soup were delicious and home-made. The staff were so helpful and accommodating. After lunch we spent about $75 in the deli and had some of the best meats, sausage rolls and pepperoni sticks we've ever had! My only complaint is that they're so far away from where we live! Five BIG stars to Helmut's!“

The cake design perfectly matched our Alice in Wonderland/Mad Hatter theme, and we received a ton of compliments on how delicious our cake and tarts were from our guests. Our wedding cake was carrot flavored and it was the best carrot cake I have ever had. She also worked well with our decorator and planner. Thank you for making our day special.“

Libbie at Cupcasions was very helpful with choosing a cake and cupcakes to serve at our wedding. The service was great but admittedly it wasn’t busy so we would’ve expected that. We ordered three pasta meals and they were delicious came out on time. My Caesar salad was a little overdressed, but was tasty nonetheless. My wife ordered a rice bowl and the rice was mushy. Would’ve given five stars except for the one bad meal. We’ll be back as this place offers your typical pub food but also some delicious main entrées that you wouldn’t normally find in a pub.“

“During my older son’s hockey game my younger son and I went into Boomers to grab a hot chocolate. The young fellow at the bar helped take our order and he was so pleasant to deal with we ended up ordering some food as well. The GF pizza was hot and tasty. No dry crust. My son’s burger and fries were good as well. Overall service was excellent and the food came out quickly. Definitely will be back. Looks like the new management is doing a great job.“

It began as a dream, first gelato shop then that cozy culinary treat serving nonna’s recipes since 1984 when Rosa and Giacomo Anfuso brought their love of Sicily to the beautiful okanagan. Son James joined the vision for many years keeping the tradition alive until passing the torch to Mansor Abrahim (Padova University, Antico Napoletana, Pane Vino) this January. “I was pleasantly surprised going to Hansen‘s on Friday evening. The great product but what really made me feel better was the five young men working in there. In a time of young people trying to find work the owner of Hansen‘s she does it right. Support Hansen’s Support your local youth it’s the best thing you can do.“
