“I've been to a lot of tasting rooms, and was very impressed how this one was set up. When ordering a flight, you're given printed tasting notes for each of the beers, arranged in a suggested tasting order. Great selection to choose from (including products suitable for people with gluten issues, like my wife!)“

“Wow I didn't even know this place existed and I'm so disappointed. What a great spot tucked away in the downtown core. The patio is amazing and the food and drink menus are a great mix of old school with modern twists. Perfectly executed. Can't wait to go back!“

“Tried a pilot mango wheat here, and it was delicious and refreshing, and very smooth with a strong mango flavor. Definitely needs to become part of the permanent summer lineup. I have had other mango wheat beers from different breweries and this was by far the best one. Clearly the brewer knew what they were doing with this one. The rest of the beer is very good too!“

“My partner and I came here on NYE, and had a great experience. No cover charge, a truly expansive and delicious local beer/cider menu (with unique flavours), and the staff was very friendly. The owner offered everyone NYE swag (kazoo, hats and so on) as well as free snacks (pork sliders, fruits etc) after the countdown. We had a lovely time and will certainly be back on another visit to Victoria!“

“We went for the Victoria Dine Around 3 course meal. We all (4 of us) thought the quality, flavour and value was really good. Only complaint (and it is an important one) was that none of the food was HOT. We had 3 steak dinners and one pasta from the dine around. We want to go back, but are hoping that this long term establishment starts the practice of serving meals on heated plates. It makes all the difference! Thank you for offering such delicious meals for this event. The $35 price tag offered great value for what we ate.“

“Chicken and ribs were great but steaks were salty, poorly cooked and dry (raw then overcooked dry). Staff was excellent and we've had one great steak there (last year) but now the bad steaks outnumber the good and they now marinate in what seems a salty smoke marinade. Ribs were great though... and service was excellent.“
“I love this bar. Live your gritty biker bar-esque peanut shelled dive fantasy at this institution in Victoria. Completely unique and great for an alternative scene in the core of the city. Get transported away in the oaky smokey atmosphere of Big Bad Johns. 5/5“

“We decided to try this place to get away from regular everyday sushi. It is amazing, all the dishes we ordered were perfectly made and tasted amazingly fresh. The place is a bit more expensive but it is worth it.
Also try out the Corso Sweet Potato Amber beer. It's really good.“

“Enjoyed a lovely birthday dinner at Milestones who never disappoint! Awesome booth with great view, lovely wine and delicious food. I had the Seafood Sirloin and my husband had the Wagyu Meatloaf. Finished off our meal with Apple Cobbler for dessert which was so yummy!“

“Unfortunately while we were visiting, a man took it upon himself to kiss my girlfriend’s neck and ask if she “wanted something”. 🤢 Myself, her, and my good friend stepped outside to escape the situation, and as soon as I got ahold of Caleb (the bouncer working that night), he was on top of it immediately. He asked for a description of the man, and then took action, finding him and removing him from the bar so our night could continue. When the man walked out and saw us huddled under an umbrella, he tried to invade our space and stand with us. My girlfriend would have swung on him if the same bouncer wasn’t so quick to stand in between us and him. He politely asked for us to return inside, and we did. We did not see the man again after that. Thank you Caleb for believing and protecting us, A+ service! Also thank you to the bartender for expressing sympathy over the situation (and giving us water when we had drank one too many in a row), your presence was comforting and helpful!“

Had a terrible first experience here and it left me flat out not wanting to return with my business. I’m a local photographer and often take clients for meals in order to consult prior to bookings. Needless to say my first experience ended up costing me far more than just a meal. However, I decided to take a chance and return tonight as some considerable time has passed and might I say HOLY SMOKES. Our food and drinks were delicious and fairly priced, and our server Anna was an absolute gem. She was extremely kind, very attentive to our needs without being overbearing, and quite honestly the way she interacted with us made us both feel like family. She was honestly just the sweetest thing. Thanks to this incredible young lady’s amazing service, I will 100% be returning on a more consistent basis. So happy this eatery is a part of our community! 5 stars.“

“Our meal was delicious, the menu was extensive and a reasonable value for steaks especially, our waitress was lovely, very attentive and knowledgeable. We had a lovely view of the harbour from our table, the atmosphere was a little quiet, but other than it was an enjoyable experience and we would recommend!“

“Love this place! Great place to chill and share a meal/drinks with people. Service is especially amazing. Feels like the staff is a family and they work together as an efficient team. Really happy with the General Manager especially. It's evident she cares about the client experience as well as her staff. Makes for an awesome environment, the people working here making it really comfortable and I'm usually the type to feel awkward with servers (you know the feeling- when you get asked how the food is one bite in, and you can tell they are just chevking in on you because they have to). But not here! Here it's nice to say hello as a repeat customer!!
