“For our last evening on Van Isle after three months visit from Oregon, we tried this restaurant based on Trip Advisor and Google reviews. Authentic Cuisine of India exceeded our expectations.

The decor and ambience are wonderful and all staff were welcoming and prompt with service. We enjoyed the mango prawn curry, traditional naan, and Tibetan Chicken momo appetizer. Beautifully presented and expertly prepared, they were a tantalizing treat for our palates.

Rose in particular was friendly, helpful, and professional, a true delight.

We will be returning to the Langford area in the near future so for sure we will come back for more delicacies. We are just sorry we can’t come more frequently.

“Went in for dinner on a recommendation from a friend. OH MY. We went in thinking it would just be another dinner spot - we were so wrong. From when you first enter & you smell the fresh herbs to when you sit down around the table on super comfortable chairs/couches. WOW. The staff were attentive, personal and yet not in your zone too much. Helpful with advice on the food and menu. 10/10. The food was on another planet. We had three dishes in total - one appy and two mains. Cooked perfectly, extremely fresh flavours and large portions. The naan bread… just wow. Delish! Will be coming back and telling everyone about this. They deserve a line out the door.“

“My brother in law wanted Indian food for his birthday dinner so we chose Sizzling Tandoor. I was never really a fan of Indian as I am pretty picky but went along as it was his day. We called and the gentleman on the phone was so polite and extremely helpful! everything we ordered was delicious! The pakora was delish, butter chicken of course was on point, and the daal was amazing! The tandoor chicken was the show stopper though. We ordered everything mild as we(including me) have a few picky palettes. will definitely order again!“

“It was my first time in. I was greated by the most friendly person at the counter most definetly the owner. He asked what i wanted.. I let him know it was my first time in and i needed some time to go over the menu. He asked a few questions about what I like. then boom with no prompting he bring me out a small plate with a few different curried meats. I normally go for the lamb or goat. that said when I tasted the butter chicken that was so perfectly seasoned the flavours filled my mouth. I had to go with it. I also got the samosa which was great as well. I am in the service industry and I am always trianing our teams how important customer service is. Now I just need to send them to KuKus to see it done by the master. great meal very fair prices and the best service i have had in a long time. Who would have thought it would be at a take out place. You have to get there soon.“
