“Whenever I get a proper craving for fish and chips, Cockney Kings Fish & Chips is my default setting. They run daily specials, and while I occasionally go full treat-yourself with the halibut, my usual order is the cod two-piece plus calamari, which I split with my partner. Reliable, classic and zero regrets.

The service is genuinely lovely. At lunch today they automatically split the cod onto two plates and brought them out separately without even having to ask. That kind of attention and service tends to stick.

The ambiance leans diner rather than destination restaurant, but it's cozy in the way diners are supposed to be: comfortable, unfussy, and staffed by people who seem happy you're there. Cockney Kings in New West wins you over with warmth, consistency, and very solid fish and chips.

“Best Ling Cod and Chips i have had in a long time. Very crisp tempura like batter, not greasy. Large thick portions of very fresh Ling Cod that melted in your mouth. Fries were also very good. The only thing that would make this place better is being on the waters edge, not a parking lot. But it certainly won't stop me from going back. Two thumbs up!“

“Okay so i love the food here it is expensive but delicious. This being said, I am really saddened by the way the staff was being treated by a woman who seemed to be their boss. Older brown lady came in like a tornado talking down to everyone, and especially yelling and being very harsh to this young teenage girl. If you are going to be mean to your staff maybe dont do it in front of all the customers. I dont wanna support a business where the staff are being abused. Maybe this woman needs to fix her attitude, i felt so sorry for the girl she was yelling at. Sorry i love the food but that made me sad and was not a great vibe to be around especially on my lunch break when im trying to decompress.
The hand sanitizer is also never refilled.“

“Lovely! We treated ourselves to a night with no kids for our 18th anniversary and enjoyed everything about this hotel. We had great communication with the staff. Cleanliness was outstanding, the room was very quiet, the bed was comfortable, the decor very pretty, and we were excited to be able to see the water from our window. But the best part was the location- you step outside the elevator and you’re right in the fun of the shipyards area. We had a special dinner, then took the seabus to the other side and biked around Stanley Park, then returned and went out again to get dessert. None of the busyle can be heard from the room but the fun was very handy. We would love to return!“

“This is thee place to eat when in Deep Cove! The food, drinks, location and casual ambience are outstanding. You can dine inside or out on the patio on a sunny day. “Had not been to a C-Lovers location in a few years. This one was a delightful experience all around. The restaurant was bright with lots of comfortable window seating. We ordered the Cod and Chips meal. The fish was yummy with just enough batter without seeming oily. The chips could have used a better potato type but did the job. The coleslaw was awesome - tasty, fresh, and crunchy. The food portions were good. Service was attentive and friendly. The menu was laid out nicely with a good variety of items to choose from .“
