“My experience here has always been good. Authentic Filipino cuisine and good, friendly service. Place can get busy at times, and Management needs to adjust staffing levels but servers are always cheerful and attentive. Lechon is available by the pound during weekends.
Also, Pork barbecue is the best in the Lower Mainland! The pastries at the counter is a favourite of my wife.“

“Kuy’s Lechon was sooo good! Then crunchy lechon lasted for a long time during the party. The flavour was unbelievable! It wasn’t just on the skin it was through the fat and meat of lechon. I was soo amazed! I didn’t even need mang thomas sauce for it. The team was also very communicative. Highly recommend! Thank you Kuy’s Lechon! 💜💜💜“

“I ordered crispy kare-kare and my wife settled for seafood pasta. The serving although we ordered solo, can feed two people. I would say that I loved the crispy kare-kare and my wife was happy with her pasta. The owner and other staff are so warm and you can feel Filipino vibes as soon as you enter the restaurant (we went to Kingsway branch). Keep it up!“

Always My Go-To for Fresh Tofu!
Impeccable taste. When you walk in, don’t expect fancy decor or flashy presentation—this place is all about the basics done right. Fresh tofu is made right in front of you, and it’s worth the 10–15 minute wait. Great to stroll the neighborhood while it’s being prepared. Simple, authentic, and consistently excellent. Always my go-to spot for fresh tofu!“

“This quaint little mom and pop store/restaurant makes one of the best crispy roast pork (lechon) in the area. The other dishes are decent but portions are small so cook lots of rice. Plenty of Filipino snacks and sauces are available here. Staff is friendly and although the place is a bit dark, it’s reasonably clean.“

“So far, this is where you’ll find the most beautiful presentation of seafood kare-kare! And it tastes as good as it looks!
I am very picky with Filipino dishes as my family knows how to cook and Pin-Pin did not disappoint.
Chicharon bulaklak was prepped and cooked perfectly, paired with all the vegetable dishes like laing and ginataang sitaw and kalabasa - yum!!!
To finish, they serve a family size halo that can serve up to 8 people.“

“Stopped in to try empanadas, tried each flavour (pork/beef/chicken) and all are fantastic. Soft, flaky crust, generously filled, and well seasoned.
Also tried a couple impulse buys, a cookie and some hopia buko pandan, which were also good. Mostly recommend those empanadas though. Friendly staff too.“

“Would I recommend Plato Filipino? YOU BET I WILL! 👏 I’m based in Nanaimo Vancouver Island and ive gotta say, a visit to Plato Filipino New West was a highlight of my trip and worth taking the ferry for! (Dont get me started with the ferry woes am i right? 😅) I devoured their Silog-All-You-Can and boy oh boy, i was full and ultimately satisfied: the daing and lechon kawali were crispy as they should, the tocino and longganisa were sweet & tasty, the eggs & sinangag were cooked to perfection! Food is one thing and customer service is another, these two, for me, go together (its a must!) that said, Shout out to JULES, APPLE & ANNA whom I had a pleasure of meeting! More power 🫡 Next time you’re visiting the mainland, make Plato Filipino a must-go for your pinoy faves & all-time comfort foods and you wont be disappointed, trust you me!“
